Explora Journeys Reveals Explora 1 Culinary Concepts

Explora Journeys has revealed more details about the culinary experiences on board its new ship, Explora 1, which is due to set sail for the first time in May 2023. Across six vibrant restaurants, guests will be able to enjoy 11 different experiences, where they can discover tastes from across the world.

In-suite dining will also be available on Explora 1, which benefits from 12 bars and lounges, as well as a chef’s kitchen.

The onboard wine selections will reflect the regions in which the ship is sailing. Sommeliers will be on hand to source boutique wine labels, including popular wine varieties from more unusual destinations throughout the globe.

Head of Culinary at Explora Journeys Franck Garanger said: “Explora Journeys isn’t just an opportunity to travel the world, we also see it as a way for our guests to taste it too, actively discovering new cuisines and experiences. Worldly and well-travelled, our team bring enthusiasm for provenance along with a plethora of stories about the rare ingredients, which are hand-selected just for Explora Journeys.

“Set to deliver refined dining experiences, that embrace authenticity and sustainability, we ensure each guest leaves with memories of their culinary journey onboard, being the finest at sea.”

Among the onboard restaurants will be Sakura, which offers  Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Malaysian cuisine. Meanwhile, the Med Yacht Club provides a relaxed celebration of the flavours of the Mediterranean.
