Luxury cruise line Explora Journeys has revealed an exciting new programme for Summer 2027, introducing a trio of brand firsts that mark a bold new chapter for MSC Group’s ultra-luxury travel brand. Set under the theme ‘An Ocean of New’, the season will debut the brand’s newest ship, EXPLORA IV, open up Alaska as a new destination with EXPLORA III, and visit a host of maiden ports across the Mediterranean.
Sailing from March to November 2027, the new collection features carefully curated itineraries across some of the world’s most fascinating regions. Guests can look forward to unforgettable voyages aboard the expanding Explora fleet, which will include EXPLORA I, II, III, and the brand-new IV.
The arrival of EXPLORA IV, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), marks the next evolution of sustainable, high-end cruising. Purpose-built for refined comfort and elevated design, the ship will feature enhanced public areas, increased outdoor space, and a greater number of luxurious oceanfront residences. With one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in luxury cruising, EXPLORA IV promises an even more intimate and immersive onboard experience.
In another milestone for the brand, Explora Journeys will sail to Alaska for the first time. Guests aboard EXPLORA III will venture into the pristine wilderness and stunning fjords of this iconic region, offering a new dimension to Explora’s destination portfolio.
While EXPLORA III and IV explore new horizons, EXPLORA I and II will return to the Mediterranean. Over 60 itineraries will blend cultural richness and coastal beauty, including visits to brand-new ports such as Olbia in Sardinia, Algiers, and the Slovenian port of Koper.
This combination of innovative new ships, all-new destinations, and Mediterranean magic makes Summer 2027 a landmark season for Explora Journeys, inviting travellers to plan ahead and experience ocean cruising redefined.
