Fred. Olsen Sees Sales Return to Pre-Pandemic Levels

Fred. Olsen has experienced a strong start to 2022, as sales across its small-ship fleet show signs of returning to pre-pandemic levels. Last-minute bookings have proved particularly popular for late winter and early spring sailings.

Part of this success is owed to Fred. Olsen’s Travel Ready Service, which handles passengers’ paperwork such as NHS vaccination letters and Passenger Locator Forms. The service, charged at £29 per person, helps reduce some of the administration currently associated with embarking on a cruise holiday.

Peter Deer, Managing Director at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “The New Year has brought with it a fresh wave of optimism for overseas travel. The success of our Cruise Sale shows that people are looking ahead to their next holiday now more than ever – there is real confidence in the market again, and this is being reflected in our bookings.

“We have had great feedback on our Travel Ready Service, which provides additional peace of mind for those looking to explore again in 2022, and teamed with a relaxation of restrictions by our UK government has really helped to stimulate new bookings.”

Fred. Olsen is offering risk-free deposits on all new bookings for sailings this year. This enables guests to move their deposit to any other cruise within 12 months of their original reservation, minus transfer fees, providing they do so before payment of their final balance.

Among the most popular 2022 Fred. Olsen cruises to have been booked so far this year are:

  • 14-night S2205A ‘Winter Warmth in the Canaries’ cruise, departing from Liverpool on 27 February 2022, on board Borealis. Click here for details.
  • Eight-night T2204B ‘Western Europe City Break’ cruise, departing from Southampton on 16 March 2022, on board Bolette. Click here for details.
  • Seven-night L2216 ‘Norwegian Fjords & Mighty Waterfalls’ cruise, departing from Newcastle on 15 June 2022 on board Balmoral. Click here for details.
