Hurtigruten Expeditions Unveils Most Extensive Season Yet

Hurtigruten Expeditions has extended its range of global itineraries for 2023/24, as the company promises customers the “most extensive season” in its 125-year history.

Staying true to its roots, Hurtigruten Expeditions offers passengers voyages that will take them to some of the world’s lesser-explored destinations. Forthcoming itineraries include more North American National Parks than ever before, as well as a brand new 10-day expedition cruise from Panama to Barbados.

Two hybrid-powered, custom-built expedition ships will enable guests on the expedition cruises to visit areas such as the Redwood National Park and the Cape Cod National Seashore. MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen will embark on six unique North American expedition cruises, where various onboard experiences will be on offer to deepen guests’ understanding of their destinations.

Other highlights of the 2023/24 season include visits to areas of West Africa that have largely been left unexplored, such as Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Senegal. Hurtigruten Expeditions lays claim to being the only cruise company to offer cruises around West Africa.

Hurtigruten Expeditions CEO Asta Lassesen commented: “Exploration is not solely about geography; it’s a mindset. We receive clear feedback from guests that they want to experience new ways to explore, and in more places. This is the reason why we continue to launch and expand our offerings to immerse in nature, culture, history, and science across the whole planet.”

Leading up to the 2023/24 season, the size of the expedition team on all Hurtigruten Expeditions’ ships will be increased and extra expedition equipment will be added.
