Jane McDonald is set to star in a new Channel 5 TV series, due to air in 2026. Jane McDonald: From Pole to Pole is a six-part programme, which follows the star on an extraordinary expedition from Antarctica to the Arctic.
Among the ships to feature in the new Jane McDonald series will be the Scenic Eclipse, the world’s first Discovery Yacht, and the five-star luxury yacht Emerald Sakara.
Jane McDonald said: “I’m packing my bags and setting sail again on a brand-new adventure with 5, Scenic Group and JetSetTV. We are going to the ends of the earth to bring some spectacular places into your living rooms. Get the wine open or a cuppa ready, we are going on an adventure.”
Throughout the series, Jane will journey to a diverse range of destinations, including Antarctica, South Georgia, The Falklands, Uruguay, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Norway, Svalbard, and the Arctic Circle. Along the way, she’ll experience everything from whale watching to helicopter rides and will even perform a song at the end of each episode, adding her personal touch to this unforgettable adventure.
Guests aboard Scenic Eclipse enjoy ultra-luxury cruising at its finest, with just 200 guests in the polar regions and an almost 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio. With private butler service, state-of-the-art exploration equipment, Zodiacs, kayaks, two onboard helicopters, and a custom-built submarine, Scenic Eclipse offers an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime cruising experience.
Meanwhile, Emerald Sakara offers an intimate yacht experience, accommodating just 100 guests in complete luxury. The yacht features an infinity-style Aqua Pool, a Marina Platform for easy access to watersports, and a beautiful Wellness Centre, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration.
