Jane McDonald to Star in New Cruising TV Series

Jane McDonald is returning to TV in 2026 with a brand-new Channel 5 travel series, Jane McDonald: From Pole to Pole. The six-part programme will air its first episode at 9pm on 2 January 2026, following the popular presenter on an extraordinary expedition from Antarctica to the Arctic.

The ambitious adventure was filmed on board two luxury small ships: Scenic Eclipse, the world’s first Discovery Yacht, and Emerald Sakara, a five-star luxury yacht. These vessels will play a central role throughout the series as Jane explores some of the most remote and awe-inspiring destinations on earth.

A Journey From Antarctica to the Arctic

Across six episodes, Jane travels through a diverse range of destinations, including Antarctica, South Georgia, The Falklands, Uruguay, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Norway, Svalbard and the Arctic Circle. Each episode features a new location, offering viewers a front-row seat to dramatic scenery, wildlife encounters and culture-rich coastal communities.

During her journey, Jane takes part in unforgettable experiences such as whale watching, helicopter flights and Zodiac expeditions. In true Jane McDonald style, she will also perform a song at the end of each episode, adding a personal touch to her polar adventure.

“I’m packing my bags and setting sail again on a brand-new adventure with 5, Scenic Group and JetSetTV. We are going to the ends of the earth to bring some spectacular places into your living rooms. Get the wine open or a cuppa ready, we are going on an adventure,” said Jane.
