P&O Cruises have revealed details of Ionafest 2020, an extraordinary launch event planned to coincide with the official naming ceremony of the line’s new flagship, Iona.
On 4 July 2020, Iona is hitting the holiday stage with a festival celebration like no other. A huge music line-up, world-class performers, street-food-style takeovers and a vast variety of entertainment are coming together in a fitting celebration of the innovative new flagship.
Day one of Ionafest 2020 is launching with a naming ceremony to top all introductions. With incredible headline acts, the are ready to exceed expectations. The day will build to the famous bottle smash, and for those who don’t want the night to end, an after-party promises to keep the celebrations in full force.
To add to all of this, the Norwegian Fjords set Ionafest 2020’s jaw-dropping scene. Following the spectacular naming celebration, Iona will sail to Norway’s dramatic landscape. Dance in Iona’s SkyDome to live DJ sets and acoustic sessions as sheer cliffs and tumbling waterfalls drift by. Feast your sense on everything from luminous glaciers to drool-worthy pop-up restaurants. And discover entertainment at every twist and turn; think exclusive shows, a silent disco, gin tastings, live screenings and aerial wonders across the entire ship.
