Princess Cruises Announces UK Comedy Cruise This Summer

Princess Cruises is to make an additional comedy-themed ‘Seacation’ cruise, the line has announced. The comedy cruise will feature a line-up of popular comedians alongside comedy-themed entertainment onboard.

Sailing 7 August 2021 aboard Regal Princess, the cruise will see headline acts from three stand-up comedians, with multiple performances taking place throughout the voyage as part of a ‘Comedy Variety Show’. The line-up comprises of:

·        Jenny Eclair – comedian and novelist, best known for her roles in Grumpy Old Women and Loose Women.
·        Tom Binns –  star and creator of BBC1 comedy series Hospital People and regular guest on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
·        Jeff Stevenson – appeared on TV shows including Only Fools and Horses and has provided stand-up comedy performances to audiences across the world for over three decades.

In addition, onboard entertainment will include an open mic night, famous comedian trivia and comedy gameshows such as ‘yes or no’ and ‘the marriage match’.
Criminal barrister and TV personality Rob Rinder will also be speaking on the 7 August 2021 sailing as part of Princess Cruises’ Encounter with Discovery at Sea speaker programme.

Tony Roberts, vice president Princess Cruises UK & Europe, said. “We are delighted to add this comedy cruise to the already outstanding entertainment available onboard Regal Princess and Sky Princess for our Summer Seacations.

“They say laughter is the best medicine, and we all deserve a laugh after such a challenging period in our lives. This cruise with Princess will not only provide guests with fantastic stand-up comedy and a variety of comedy-themed entertainment, but also fine dining, extraordinary service and ever-changing scenery.”

All-inclusive fares for a balcony stateroom on Princess Cruises’ three-night Seacations start from £389pp. Fares include premium drinks, unlimited Wi-Fi, crew incentive and the cost of any COVID-19 testing which may be required at the time of travel.

Princess has also expanded its ‘Book with Confidence’ policy, which now allows guests the flexibility to change their holiday plans 30 days before the day of departure, receiving cancellation fees as a future cruise credit. This flexible booking option is available for any cruise bookings made up to 30 September 2021, on voyages departing up to 31 December 2021.
