Silversea Takes Delivery of Silver Ray

Silversea has officially welcomed Silver Ray to its fleet, representing the latest expansion of its cutting-edge Nova Class series.

The design ethos of Silversea’s Nova Class redefines maritime luxury, showcasing extraordinary openness toward the environment with its unique, asymmetric structure and a vast 4,000 square metres of glass on the exterior. Silver Ray is aligned with her sister ship, Silver Nova, and stands out as one of the most sustainable and luxurious ships for deep-sea exploration and high-end travel, echoing the Royal Caribbean Group’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint. Poised for her initial sail from Lisbon on 15 June, Silver Ray will begin sailing in the Mediterranean, before locating to the Americas at the end of the year.

Nova Class ships sport redesigned pool decks facing the sea on the starboard side and boast new outdoor spaces such as the Dusk Bar and the Marquee. Silver Nova and Silver Ray prioritise guest space with a ratio of 75 GRT per guest – they also deliver an impressive level of attention with a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:1.3 and provide butler services in all suite categories.

There is also a large assortment of bars, dining venues, and relaxation spaces, including the Otium wellness programme steeped in the Roman tradition of leisure, and the pioneering Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) gastronomic initiative.

“In addition to being one of the most energy-efficient ships ever built, Silver Ray’s game-changing, outward-facing ship design enables greater access and connection for our guests to the incredible destinations we visit,” commented Silversea President Bert Hernandez.
