MSC Cruises has confirmed that it is to include a daily service charge as part of the cruise fare on new bookings made from 25 June.
The cruise line confirmed in a statement:
The change will affect bookings made from this date and any bookings made after this date will be subject to the new terms and conditions regarding service charge. Any bookings made before this date, regardless of departure date will be subject to the existing booking terms that state service charge will be included as part of the onboard invoice, however it is optional and can be removed on board at the request of the guests.
MSC Cruises announced they had plans to roll out gratuities into the cruise fare for UK and Irish passengers, earlier this year with a launch date of early April, although this was later delayed.
