After a successful trial on Queen Mary 2, Cunard Line’s steakhouse dining option, Steakhouse at The Verandah has rolled out fleetwide.
The extra-fee venue has been housed on QM2 since summer 2018 and has now become a permanent feature on sister ships, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.
Josh Leibowitz, Senior Vice President, Cunard North America, in a statement said:
After the success of the new steakhouse menu onboard Queen Mary 2 last summer, our team has decided to take the concept across the fleet.
The menu in the Steakhouse at The Verandah focuses on high-end meat selections that include New York strip steak, Scotch grass-fed dry-aged beef, salt marsh rack of lamb and Australian Wagyu beef, as well as seafood like Alaskan king crab legs and Maine lobster. The menu also lists gluten-free and vegetarian options.
Starters include salmon, lobster tail, Caesar salad and clam chowder comprise starters, while sides include steamed broccoli, grilled corn on the cob, onion rings, triple-cooked French fries and mashed potatoes, among other items.
The Verandah Bar will also feature a list of new cocktails and a selection of wines designed to complement the eatery’s food offerings.
Steakhouse at The Verandah is open on sea days for lunch (noon to 1:30 p.m.) with a fee of $25 per person and dinner (6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.) for $39 per person – some menu items carry an additional surcharge.
