Celebrity River Cruises is due to launch in 2027, as the brand announces plans for a brand-new fleet of river ships. The company has signed an order for 10 ships, which will explore some of Europe’s most iconic rivers.
Jason Liberty, President and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group, explained that the decision to launch Celebrity River Cruises has been based on guest feedback.
“With about half of our guests having experienced or intending to vacation on a river cruise, we know they will enjoy Celebrity’s elevated offering on the river,” he continued.
“By leveraging our valuable loyalty programs across our three brands, we will deepen customer engagement and further our ability to keep guests within our ecosystem of vacation offerings. We are the best in the world at delivering the vacation of a lifetime, and this is the latest example of how we are building the capabilities to deliver a lifetime of vacations.”
Celebrity River Cruises will extend the company’s commitment to bringing guest-first experiences to river cruising. Travellers will have the chance to navigate through the core of culturally rich and historically important cities, savour local culinary delights, and partake in distinctive shore excursions – all delivered in The Celebrity Way. The cruises feature ships designed to offer panoramic views, ensuring that every aspect of the adventure enables guests to fully engage with the scenic journey.
