One of the largest ships on the Nile, the five-star MS Mövenpick Darakum is a true standout — not just for its size, but for its route. With a specially designed low draft, it’s one of only two five-star ships that can cruise the full length of the Nile from Cairo to Aswan, making this a truly bucket-list journey. Managed by the renowned Mövenpick brand, you can expect Swiss attention to detail and warm Egyptian hospitality throughout. On board, the décor is rich with Moroccan flair, from intricately styled furnishings to atmospheric lighting. There’s generous open deck space across three levels, a sun deck pool, and a sociable lounge bar that hosts everything from wine tasting and cookery classes to a traditional galabiya party and belly dancing performances.
Cabins & Accomodation
Choose from a range of beautifully appointed cabins and suites, all designed for comfort and style. Standard and Upper Deck Cabins offer 20m² of space with large picture windows, while Deluxe Cabins (26m²) are positioned at the front of the ship for sweeping views. For extra space, Panorama Suites (34m²) and Senior Suites (up to 40m²) include a separate seating area and two bathrooms. Expect hotel-style beds with fine Egyptian cotton, panoramic windows, air conditioning, a fridge, personal safe, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a TV. All bathrooms are finished in warm wood panelling and include a bath with shower above. Evening turndown service and optional laundry complete the thoughtful touches.
