Relax beside one of the ship’s pools, participate in the day’s enrichment classes, hide away with a book or be pampered at the Greenhouse Spa, where you will find an extensive treatment list, thermal suite and soothing hydro pool.

Holidays are a time to indulge and with such tempting cuisine aboard MS Oosterdam, it is difficult not to. Ease the guilt by working up a sweat at the Fitness Centre or take inspiration from the calming ocean backdrop and relax with a Yoga class. The Sports Court takes the exercise outside and adds a competitive edge; get involved with a game of volleyball or basketball.

Learn Something New

For a quieter life head for the Explorations Café, powered by The New York Times, where you will find an extensive library and custom espresso drinks and pastries. Find the perfect spot to curl up with a book, read up on your next destination and enjoy some me time. Sea days can be the perfect opportunity to learn something new; head over to the Queens Lounge and join the resident Culinary Arts Centre Host for hands-on cookery classes and demonstrations from talented chefs and special guest experts. You’ll find arts and craft classes to indulge you creative side and technology courses to brush up on your Photoshop skills with a Microsoft ‘Techspert’.

Refined Evening Entertainment

When the sun goes down, MS Oosterdam continues to surprise her passengers with an array of evening entertainment. After dinner you can take a seat in the ship’s magnificent theatre, The Vista Lounge, for musical productions featuring talented vocalists and incredible dancers.

You’ll find a great range of bars and lounges to enjoy throughout the night, from the refined space of the Explorers Lounge to the live music and luxury of the Ocean Bar. Elsewhere, the Sports Bar shows live sporting events from around the world, accompanied by a proper pint and a great atmosphere.

Why not see if luck is on your side with a spin of the roulette wheel, roll of the dice or try of the hand at blackjack and poker in the Casino?  Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play; gaming lessons take place regularly so you will soon be up to speed.

Set A Seating Time Or Be Spontaneous

For breakfast, lunch or an unforgettable seven-course evening meal, the Main Dining Room is your destination for sophisticated five-star dining. Choose a set seating time with Traditional Dining or be spontaneous with ‘As You Wish’ Dining. Traditional Dining allows guests to request a table size of their choosing at the time of booking and an earlier or later sitting of 5.45pm and 8.00pm. Alternatively opt for the ‘As You Wish’ dining and enjoy the ultimate freedom and flexibility to dine whenever you choose. Simply arrive and you will be seated at the first available table, it’s as simple as that.

Romance Is The Air…

The Pinnacle Grill exudes elegance and provides the perfect venue for a romantic evening for two.  Here you can indulge in culinary creations complemented by the finest wine selections from the Pacific Northwest. You can also join the Pinnacle Grill for ‘An Evening with Le Cirque’, a once per cruise evening, and experience the unique taste of Sirio Maccioni’s legendary New York restaurant. Alternatively, opt for a taste of Italian at Canelettos and savour the taste of classic pasta and sauces with main dishes also including veal, roasted pork loin and grilled fish.

For a more casual dining experience head to the 24 hour buffet service restaurant known as the Lido Restaurant. Here you will find an extensive and delicious range of dishes from around the world for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Dress Code

The dress code on board Holland America is resort casual during the day with emphasis on relaxation and enjoying your holiday.  Eveningwear consists of either Elegant Casual or Formal Wear.  Formal evenings are often the highlight of a voyage with gentlemen in tuxedos and ladies in lavish evening gowns.
