MS Fram offers numerous relaxation lounges to unwind and enjoy the scenic cruising views from her spacious outdoor decks to an impressive gymnasium for guests looking to remain active whilst on board. The Jacuzzis out on MS Fram’s open deck space are often extremely popular when cruising such sights as the remarkable icebergs within Antarctica and Greenland – not a bad way to see such beautiful scenery. Grab a pair of binoculars, take a seat in the comfortable sitting area of the observation lounge with its large panoramic windows, and get an incredible view of nature and the ever-changing landscape.
MS Fram’s on board emphasis is placed wholeheartedly on relaxation and cultural enrichment. Hurtigruten provide a different style of cruising to many other cruise lines and their aim is to open guests up to a whole new world of exploration, sharing this with fellow like-minded travellers. MS Fram’s explorer voyages are extremely popular and feature key lectures throughout the itinerary. In terms of entertainment, Hurtigruten do things differently. MS Fram does feature occasional musical entertainment but most of all MS Fram lets mother nature take centre stage.
In the main restaurant of Imaq (an Inuit word for sea) on deck 4, you can enjoy the finest cuisine from pan-fried Arctic char to roasted chicken. Imaq is located aft of the ship, and on your way, you’ll walk through an exhibition of original artefacts from the historic expeditions of Amundsen and Nansen. Once inside the restaurant you notice that the floor has different levels, and there are always views to the outdoors and a balcony for taking pictures when wildlife show up during a meal. Elsewhere the Bistro is self-service providing guests with free tea, coffee and cakes, with additional items on the menu available for a small fee.
MS Fram offers a unique and inspiring cruising experience, taking her passengers to some of the world’s most remote and visually stunning locations, providing guests with the opportunity for a voyage of a lifetime.
