Both ships have cruises out of Southampton in their 2019 maiden season so book a Southampton cruise on one of these beautiful new ships to ensure you do not miss out!
Italian designer style and comfort awaits you on board, and MSC have the highest percentage of sea view balcony cabins per ship of any other cruise company. Instead of choosing your stateroom, you now can choose the experience you want, by choosing from Bella, Fantastica, Aurea and MSC Yatcht Club.
Bella is great value for all with balcony cabins, ocean-view and inside. Fantastica has been crafted for comfort and flexibility with superfamily cabins, balcony cabins, ocean-view and inside. Aurea offers invigoration and all-inclusive comfort with suites and balcony staterooms. Finally MSC Yacht Club is the elite cruise for exclusive travel with royal suites, executive & family suites and deluxe suites.
Covering 72 different countries and docking at more than 200 ports means MSC really does offer you the chance to see the whole world.
MSC Cruises’ excursions are tried and tested and have been perfectly planned to show you the best of each destination. Visit iconic sites with multilingual guides and enjoy dedicated excursions to suit everyone from groups to families, without the stress of planning and organising. Family-friendly excursions even offer the option to have a member of the entertainment team accompany you and your family ashore to make sure the youngest members of the group are kept entertained and engaged.
Life on board an MSC ship can be as active or as relaxed as you like. Sip a cocktail by the pool while the children go wild in one of the five Kid’s Clubs on board, or treat yourself to a massage in the award-winning MSC Aurea Spa. Those of you who are free of little darlings and would like to keep it that way can indulge on the adult-only sun deck, where waiters will serve drinks to your sun lounger and even bring you a fruit kebab or two. If you are feeling a bit more energetic, the gym and fitness facilities will ensure you keep up with your fitness regime – you can even request the help of one of the dedicated personal trainers. Strut your stuff in a dance class led by a professional dance teacher or practise your backhand on the tennis court.
Broadway-style entertainment is the order of the day (or evening) with six shows per seven-night cruise. Expect vibrant and energetic dancing, incredible acrobatics and superb singing in the theatre, and dancing until dawn in the ships’ nightclubs. You can also see if Lady Luck is on your side with a visit to the ships’ stylish and lively casino. Open until late, the casino offers card tournaments for both novices and seasoned players alike, as well as promotions for those high-rollers who really know what they are doing.
As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises know how important it is for everyone to have a good time on holiday. Swimming pools, waterslides and spray parks allow children to splash around in the sunshine but what else is there on offer? 14 hours of free activities a day, in the Kids Clubs for those under 3 and all the way up to 17!
A new collaboration with family-favourite Lego means that MSC are the only cruise line to have dedicated Lego play areas at sea. Children of all ages now have the chance to play with these iconic building bricks and become a ‘Junior Lego Master Builder’ by completing Lego-themed activities on board. Similarly a partnership with Italian baby brand Chicco takes the stress out of travelling with young children as Chicco’s market-leading products – including strollers, bottle warmers and baby backpacks are now all available for families to borrow during their voyages, giving mums and dads the option of fun, worry-free sailing around the world.
Dinnertime has also been taken care of with Fun Time Dinners, Happy Dinners and Teens Dinners where children are able to dine with the entertainment team before heading back to the Kid’s Clubs for more fun and games.
When it comes to dining, MSC has got it all. Over 140 different recipes are served on board every day across the different restaurants. There is fine dining and excellent service in the main restaurant, casual dining available 20 hours a day in the buffet and speciality dining in the themed restaurants, where you will find sushi, Tex Mex and Mediterranean fusion.
MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa play host to the Galaxy Lounge Restaurant, serving up Mediterranean fusion cuisine with the option of a delectable 7-course tasting menu chosen by the chef. The Fantasia class ships also feature the first Eataly restaurants at sea, offering stylish, minimalist dining serving high quality Italian food.
All of the pizza, pasta, bread and pastries are made fresh on board daily, along with the line’s signature Mediterranean dishes. It isn’t all pizza and pasta though (although MSC have won awards for their pizza and gelato) as all of the food is inspired by the destinations visited on the cruise, meaning you could be eating Provençale pork one day and Spanish paella the next. Delicious!
With revolutionary architecture that will connect you to the sea, MSC’s two Seaside ships will lead the way for a new generation of cruising. Design innovations include a unique waterfront promenade that circles the ship with outdoor spaces, bars, restaurants, two theatres (one dedicated solely for the kids), and an aqua water park. Add all this into the mix along with public spaces that open outside to the deck to the panoramic lifts and you’ll be provided with jaw-dropping seas views and even more ways to enjoy the sun.
