The beautiful MSC Divina arrived to the fleet in May 2012 and has become a revelation of the seas. The entertainment and comfort facilities on board this stunning vessel are nothing short of excellent and as for ship design she is definitely a pride and joy of MSC Cruises. The ship is named in honour of her godmother Sophia Loren, the Italian actress who has two Oscars to her name along with a string of other incredible awards.
At 139,000 gross tons she is certainly a sight to behold boasts two sister ships MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia. Some of her most notorious features include the “ship within a ship” area the MSC Yacht Club and an amazing infinity pool right at the peak of the ship.
An immense variety of sport and leisure features await you on board to reflect a golden age of sea travel with a modern twist and innovative MSC vision. Fitness enthusiasts will love the spectacular state of the art gym as well as the sports court where you’ll find gaming choices including basketball, volleyball, tennis and more. Sound a little too active? Fear not, guests looking to laze the day away and enjoy blissful relaxation will love the sublime pool areas on board, ideal for watching the world go by. Pool areas are divided into family friendly and adult only to cater for all passengers and the infinity pool in particular is a truly beautiful part of the ship.
Relaxation is taken up a notch to the next level at the enchanting MSC Aurea Spa wellness centre on board. Here you will discover a thrilling range of treatment choices amongst the most serene of atmospheres.
Evening entertainment continues the theme of excellence as you head from your stateroom to drink in the sheer scale and awe inspiring splendour of the real stone piazza. From here you have a great range of choice from the Phanteon Theatre seating up to 1600 guests at a time for lavish production shows to the Casino Veneziano with over 1000 square metres of casino gaming choice available. Spin the roulette wheel or throw the dice at craps, the choice is yours to see if lady luck is with you on the night.
The range of bars on board is brilliant with something for every mood from freshly made cocktails to a refined whiskey complimented by the perfect cigar. The Golden Jazz Bar is always a big hit with a tip of its cap to the world of jazz and a great range of live musical acts throughout each cruise.
Round your evening off with a visit to the vibrant and futuristically designed disco where the music plays long into the night to keep the party going.
Children will love this ship as there is just so much to see and do. The video gaming centre on board has to be one of the best ever developed at sea whilst their own private areas give them a sense of exclusivity and freedom on board. The excellent MSC children’s crew always keep the fun going and parents can relax knowing children are safe and sound whilst having the time of their lives.
You will love the wealth of dining extravagance on board this exciting cruise ship. MSC Divina has three main restaurants, each with their own unique charms but all offering the same signature silver service and exceptional cuisine. High quality foods meet scrupulous service here and the outcome is truly excellent. Dishes range from traditional Mediterranean recipes to modern international creations.
If you feel like injecting a little spice into your evening meal then head for the Sacramento Tex Mex Restaurant for an authentic taste of Mexico. You’ll find everything from fajitas and burritos to tacos and tortillas here not forgetting the perfect accompaniment of Mexican beer or even a Margarita or Tequila. Not only is the cuisine here outstanding but the open kitchen dining room offers an immersive experience into the world of the MSC chefs.
The dress code during the day is casual. Comfortable attire is recommended for when taking excursions in port but whilst on board resort casual is the main dress code. During the evening the dress code will vary and you will be instructed of the night’s attire in your daily newspaper, delivered to your stateroom each evening. Evening attire ranges from smart casual to formal evenings when gentlemen are required to wear a dark suit or tuxedo whilst ladies often opt for evening gowns
