With an impressive LED ‘digital sky’ covering her entire indoor promenade, an exclusive partnership with Cirque du Soleil, 12 exquisite dining options and a wide variety of sophisticated accommodation including connecting cabins for families, cruising is about to get even more exciting on board MSC Meraviglia.
Filled with boutiques and restaurants, the 96-metre-long central promenade of Galleria Meraviglia is the ship’s main social hub, coming alive with music, parties and entertainment during the evening. What’s more, the entire ceiling of this indoor promenade is covered with 480 square metres of LED screen, transmitting views around the clock, from sunsets and sunrises to pre-dinner parades. It is bound to be the talk of your cruise holiday.
With around 10 square metres of public space per guest, the Miami South Beach-inspired Atmosphere pool is one of the most generous poolside spaces at sea. With an impressive 1,300 sun loungers around the pool, a giant screen and an additional 22 sunbeds that touch the water, lounging by the pool has never been as good.
Elsewhere, there’s even more open-air deck space for sun worshippers by the Horizon pool, a space which will be transformed into an outdoor spot for dancing and entertainment at night. If you’re looking for a smaller indoor pool, there’s the Aft pool on deck 16, which offers views from the front of the ship and transforms into a dance space by night. Plus, thanks to the addition of a sliding roof over this pool, when the weather permits, the space becomes open-air.
With exclusive world-class shows, a multi-purpose karaoke bar, comedy club, an amusement park and sports centre for younger guests on board, MSC Meraviglia has been designed with families specifically in mind. Guests can challenge friends and family to a game or two in the full-size bowling alley, let the kids go wild and let off some steam at the Sportplex, or head for the exciting Polar Aquapark, with its three exhilarating twisting slides and the ‘Himalayan Bridge’, which spans the ship and allows guests to climb up an impressive 82 metres above sea level.
All kids love LEGO and MSC Cruises’ partnerships with The Lego Group is sure to raise some excited squeals with entire days dedicated to LEGO activities. Elsewhere on board there’s also use of the DOREMI Studio Lounge, DOREMI Tech Lab, two F1 simulators, 5D cinema experiences, arcade games and more.
When the sun goes down, the entertainment still lives on. Twice every night and six nights a week, guests can see two original shows by Cirque du Soleil at sea with MSC Meraviglia’s exclusive partnership. MSC Cruises are world leaders in live show-stopping entertainment, as demonstrated by the ship’s custom-built Carousel Lounge with its impressive 180° glass wall fitted with high-tech equipment and special rigging. With space for 413 guests, there’s room for everyone to soak up the show.
Guests can party until the small hours in the stylish Attic Club, head to the TV Studio & Bar to enjoy the karaoke and live music, make the most of pre/post dinner drinks in the Edge Cocktail Bar or opt for the stylish Champagne Bar. With the Champagne Bar’s vast choice of champagne, prosecco and other bubblies from around the world, and a range of bars, lounges and cafes found around the ship, there’s a drink to suit your mood.
Like her sister ships, MSC Cruises’ Yacht Club (the cruise line’s ‘ship within a ship’ concept) will also be available on board MSC Meraviglia, only this time it is even more advanced than ever. Guests will have the chance to experience a new level of luxury, enjoying the use of private restaurants, a myriad of entertainment, solariums, private whirlpool baths and duplex suites only available to guests in the Yacht Club.
Cruising as a family is also about to get easier, thanks to MSC Cruises’ new ‘cluster’ family cabins. These cluster cabins will open to two or three connecting staterooms, comfortably accommodating up to 10 people. They are the perfect solution for larger families travelling together.
MSC Meraviglia sails seven-night itineraries in the Mediterranean.
