Whilst in many ways Oceania Insignia is almost identical to her sister ships, Regatta and Nautica, she has her own personal charm too. Her décor continues Oceania Cruises’ tradition for country club style and refined luxury, boasting elegant interiors, teak-lined decks, custom-carved stone and impeccably designed dining rooms.
Let your creative juices flow under the watchful eye of the talented artists-in-residence in the Artist Loft, where the courses change continually to provide endless inspiration for beginners and professionals alike. After all, nothing stimulates creativity quite like seeing the world.
Quiet moments can be enjoyed in Oceania’s signature coffee house, Barista’s, where you can sink into a cosy armchair with a complimentary illy® drink. Alternatively, pick up a best-selling novel from the hundreds on offer in the library or opt for a guidebook and read up on your next port of call on an afternoon by the pool.
You can’t beat an afternoon by the pool. Cushion-topped teak day beds beckon from the pool’s edge, whilst more secluded and shaded spots are available in The Patio; an area that sits just aft of the pool. On deck, ocean vistas make the perfect backdrop as you sip on a cocktail or grab a bite to eat from the poolside Waves Grill, where the gourmet burgers, succulent seafood dishes and hot gooey deserts will lull you into a satisfied poolside slumber.
Whilst most cruisers like to kick back and relax on holiday, perhaps even taking advantage of the soothing treatments available in the spa, others prefer to work up a sweat with a fitness class or two in the Fitness Centre. Head to the Sports Deck for some friendly competition with fellow cruisers or brush up on your swing on the putting green. There’s never a shortage of ways to spend your days on an Oceania Cruises holiday.
Tuck into everything from grilled lobster tails to jumbo shrimp and hand-cut steaks in the Terrace Café, Insignia’s informal buffet-style restaurant. Service is available morning, lunch and dinner here and you’ll find a daily-changing menu of international dishes served in the most relaxed of venues.
In the Grand Dining Room, guests can sample signature dishes created by Master Chef, Jacques Pépin, along with European-inspired cuisine and delicious healthy options created in partnership with the Canyon Ranch Spa Club. Classically-trained wait staff serve meals amidst handsomely decorated surroundings; sleek dark wood, damask tapestry fabrics and oversized armchairs taking a starring role in the plush décor.
Elsewhere, Toscana offers a hearty selection of high-end Tuscan specialities, with each dish presented on custom-designed Versace china. Many of the recipes in Toscana have originated from the mothers and grandmothers of Toscana’s very own Italian culinary staff. Elsewhere, grilled jumbo shrimp scampi, pancetta wrapped filet of veal and succulent prime ribs are just a taster of what you can enjoy in Insignia’s classic steakhouse, Polo Grill; the number one choice for meat and seafood lovers.
As you flit from the Grand Bar to Martinis, make sure to stop by the Upper Hall. Here, you can sample a rare vintage, indulging in a fine sample of renowned single malts and enjoying the spirited conversation that comes with after-dinner drinks. Treat yourself to a Martini tasting session at the extravagant Martini’s lounge or head for the Insignia Lounge, where nightly entertainment brings comedians, lively jazz musicals and more to the stage.
By day, the Horizons Lounge may be the best spot on board to enjoy a leisurely afternoon, but the entertainment steps up a notch later on. Musicians will have you up on your feet and tapping a toe to the beat, whether that be for an hour before dinner or well into the small hours of the night. Try your luck in the Casino or investigate the various other bars and lounges on board, experiencing the warm and convivial atmosphere that Oceania Insignia has to offer.
Traditional hardwoods, rich fabrics, fine furnishings and original artworks decorate the generously sized suites and staterooms aboard Oceania Insignia. Marble and granite-clad bathrooms are large enough for an indulgent full-size bathtub and offer everything you would expect to find in a world-class hotel. So, plump the goose-down pillows of the Prestige Tranquillity Bed, stretch out on the plush couch or relax on the private teak veranda with a cold drink in hand, making the most of your home-from-home at sea.
