At four o’ clock sharp, a tempting selection of finger sandwiches, sweet treats and traditional or herbal teas draws guests to Horizon. A classical string quartet plays softly in the background as the friendly and attentive staff glide through the room with four-tiered pastry carts brimming with sinful delights. If your caffeine addiction kicks in well before four, steal an hour of your time and head to Baristas, Oceania’s signature coffee bar. Here you can enjoy a complimentary illy® espresso, cappuccino or latte with a freshly-made pastry.

Cushion-Topped Loungers and Daybeds

It may be hard to prise yourself away from the cushion-topped loungers and daybeds, but with a large heated pool that sits at the centre of Deck 12, there’s no excuse for you not to take a refreshing dip in the water. Elsewhere on board, soothing spa treatments await you in the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, whereas more active pursuits in the Fitness Centre promise to get your blood pumping and heart racing.

After spending a busy day exploring ashore, enjoying dinner in the privacy of your suite is a tempting proposition. Free room service is available 24 hours a day and you’ll benefit from some pretty special sea views as you wait for your food to be delivered to your veranda, cold drink in hand from your mini-bar.

Boasting the Finest Cuisine at Sea

Open-seating dining is offered in all of the dining venues on board so you can choose when and where you’d like to dine each day.

European-styled classic cuisine and healthy Canyon Ranch signature dishes are available from The Grand Dining Room, where a refined and welcoming atmosphere is always on offer. Of course, speciality dining is included with your Oceania Cruises fare. Enjoy sizzling steaks, perfectly grilled seafood and the finest filet mignon at sea in the classic Polo Grill, whilst in Toscana you can enjoy family recipes that have been handed down through the generations with a menu brimming with Tuscan cuisine.

The culinary pleasures are as striking as the visual ones over in Red Ginger, Oceania Marina’s Asian-fusion establishment. Tuck into a Spicy Roast Duck Salad, Malaysian Beef Penang, Thai Vegetable Curry or something as equally as delicious, whilst soaking up the ambience in surroundings rich in ebony woods, deep red leather and striking Asian artworks. Over in Jacques, heirloom antiques and works of art have been picked from Jacques Pépin’s personal collection, as have the signature dishes offered on his tempting menu. Rotisserie-roasted chicken falls from the bone and melts in your mouth, whilst crispy duck breasts are drizzled in a sweet orange jus.

Perhaps you prefer your mealtimes at sea to be informal and carefree? The Terrace Café sits aft of the ship, offering you spectacular vistas both day and night, along with an expansive menu full of gastronomic delights. Holidays are made for al fresco dining, so snare one of the shaded teak tables for lunch with a view.

The Finest Orchestra at Sea

In the evenings the ship is filled with the sounds of the finest orchestra at sea, live classical concerts under the stars providing the perfect precursor to dinner. Elsewhere on board, gentle notes from the resident pianist will waft through the decks and tempt you into the intimate Martinis bar. Later, head over to Horizons, where you’ll spend your evenings chatting with new and old friends over cocktails, sparkling champagne or ice-cold beer, perhaps even taking your dancing feet or singing skills to the stage.

Evening entertainment revolves around The Lounge, where you’ll witness not one but six shows throughout your cruise holiday. Each of the shows has been produced by the renowned Gary Musick Productions to deliver high quality, jaw-dropping musical revues. River Rhapsody, Con Molto, Groovin’ and Backstage Pass are just four of the six shows available for you to watch.

Quieter evenings can be enjoyed in Marina’s cosy library, which is reminiscent of those found in the most charming of English country estates. Here, you can while away the night in the company of your holiday read or one of over 2,000 books on the dark wood shelves.
