In January 2023 Oceania Cruises announced that its 1,238-guest ship Riviera has had a sweeping rejuvenation to offer passengers the most stylish way to explore the world. All suites and staterooms now debut reimagined, lavish residential comfort with custom furnishings wood finishes and designer accents which reflect Oceania Cruises’ signature branding of elegance.
Highlights of the re-designed ship include:
From the Lalique Grand Staircase to the Ralph Lauren furnishings that fill the Owner’s Suite; no expense was spared in the creation of Oceania Riviera. Add to this a list of facilities including six fine dining venues, several bars and lounges, and a spa as serene as any found on dry land, and it’s easy to forget that you’re at sea and not in one of the world’s finest hotels. Oceania Riviera and her dedicated crew can’t wait to welcome you aboard.
Rich woods, plush fabrics, custom-crafted furnishings and a stylish colour palette combine to create the ultimate luxury home from home in Oceania Riviera’s suites and staterooms.
» Stunning Owner’s Suite furnished in Ralph Lauren Home
» Country-club ambiance
» Six open-seating gourmet dining venues
» Acclaimed Culinary Centre
Designer furnishings from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection fill the Owners Suites, whilst lavish interior design by the world-renowned Dakota Jackson decorates the Vista Suites. Such attention to detail, along with a premium location overlooking the bow of the ship, means that these cabins are always in high demand. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows make the Deluxe Ocean View Staterooms feel even more spacious, their generous seating areas, sleek dressing table and granite-clad bathrooms cementing their appeal.
Ease into the morning and start the day in the best possible way, with a complimentary illy® espresso, cappuccino or latte from the signature Baristas on board. Bite into delicious pastries and homemade biscotti, taking an hour to ponder what today might bring; a serene day at sea or adventures ashore.
A holiday filled with indulgence provides plenty of motivation to hit the gym in the Fitness Centre or stretch your tired muscles, aches and pains away in one of the aerobic classes that are on offer throughout your trip. Of course, when you’re cruising in the Mediterranean or Caribbean, even the most indulgent meals can’t convince you to leave the sun behind and head inside. This is where Riviera’s Fitness Track becomes an attractive proposition; brisk walks, jogs and runs have never been more appealing than when your surroundings involve 360-degree sea views. If you prefer your exercise with a side of competition, take on family, friends and fellow cruisers with a game of table tennis, croquet or bocce, or head to the putting green for a spot of nine-hole golf.
We work harder and longer than ever before, so by the time we jet away we’re desperate for some rest and relaxation. Stresses and strains slip away in seconds at the award-winning Canyon Ranch SpaClub, where treatments including the signature Canyon Stone Massage join features including a private, open-air whirlpool to encourage you to slip into a state of ultimate relaxation.
Time spent at sea offers the perfect opportunity to do all of those things that you never quite get around to doing at home. Craft your culinary skills to new standards with a hands-on cookery class in Oceania Riviera’s Culinary Centre, where you’ll work under the guidance of the ship’s resident master chefs to prepare a variety of delicious dishes in the state-of-the-art kitchen. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to participate in a Culinary Discovery Tour too, during which you will accompany the chefs as they shop for fresh ingredients at local markets in selected ports.
Oceania Cruises prides itself on offering one of the most inclusive holidays at sea and you’ll never pay any additional dining charges, regardless of which restaurant you choose to dine in each day.
Memorable dining begins with open-seating, so head out for dinner when you’re ready, taking a table with whomever you like. Menus change daily in The Grand Dining Room but regardless of the dish of the day, you’re always guaranteed fine fare served at a beautifully presented table set with crisp linen cloths, bone china and sparkling crystal glassware.
A vision in ruby red, striking gold and deep, dark ebony wood, the décor in Red Ginger is as striking as the bold Asian cuisine on offer. Try Thai Vegetable Curry or Spicy Duck and Watermelon Salad, letting your taste buds take you a journey through the Orient. Alternatively, let the aromas of French bistro fare tempt you into Jacques, where each dish has been imaginatively reinterpreted by Master Chef Pépin. Coq au Vin falls from the bone and bursts with flavour, whilst the classic Steak Frites pair succulent prime beef with sweet pommes de terre.
Dine alfresco in the relaxed surroundings of the Terrace Café, which sits aft of the ship and commands the very best sea views. Enjoy a laidback lunch or leisurely dinner, tucking into culinary delights from around the world; come tomorrow, there’ll be a whole new menu waiting to surprise your palate.
For special celebrations, the epicurean delights and private settings of La Reserve and Privée promise to rise to the occasion in stunning style. Enjoy tasting menus, wine seminars and dinners paired course-by-course with the very best fine wines in La Reserve. Alternatively, hire the exclusive Privée dining room for an evening of food selected from the Polo Grill, Toscana or both, and served in the most exceptional surroundings on the whole ship.
Whilst a leisurely lounge area by day, Horizons becomes a sophisticated hot spot each evenings, with groups heading here to listen to the dulcet tones of a live band and enjoy cocktails at the bar with new found friends.
The aptly named Martinis serves Mr Bond’s signature drink in several different guises, all of them enjoyed in the same private gentleman’s club atmosphere and dished up with a soft piano soundtrack.
The very best entertainment on board Oceania Riviera is arguably found in the Lounge, where each evening brings headline acts including comedians and lively jazz ensembles, all of whom continue to bring the house down long into the night. Before heading back to your cabin for a night cap, try your luck in Monte Carlo casino; spin the wheel and chance the deck, taking your chances against Lady Luck.
As a mid-sized ship, Oceania Riviera is intimate, charming and full of exciting experiences that will open your eyes to a whole new life lived at sea. If only it could last a little longer.
