Arvia’s Pools

New pool facilities on Arvia will include a swim-up bar and SkyDome designed to let you swim, relax and sip cocktails accompanied by DJ sounds from day to night.

Infinity and Panorama Pool and Bar

Billed as the ultimate in al-fresco luxury, the Infinity and Panorama Pool and Bar will feature two tiers of loungers, whirlpools and infinity pools, plus a P&O Cruises first – a swim-up bar. Admire uninterrupted views over the wake of the ship, then swim up to order yourself a rum punch from the stylish bar. Absolute bliss. Evenings take things up a notch, with atmospheric live music and even silent discos.

Sunset Bar

For fun in the sun Café del Mar style, the Sunset Bar will become a day-to-night destination for Arvia’s guests. With more whirlpools than ever before on a P&O Cruises ship, cooling sun canopies to relax under, swinging seats to admire those gorgeous sea views, and chilled DJ sounds throughout the day and into the night, Sunset Bar is the ultimate place for sundowners with friends.

Beachcomber Pool and Bar

For chilled vibes, Beachcomber Pool and Bar offers plenty of space to relax and order sundowners. Choose your favourite cocktail from the bar or an ice cream to enjoy while you watch the sun setting over the ocean blue.

From chilling over milkshakes at 6th Street Diner to savouring a dinner date complemented by fine wine and flawless service at Epicurean, Arvia boasts a truly varied offering of more than 30 tempting places to eat and drink on board.

You can experience exciting new restaurants including Green & Co feat. Mizuhana, where we’ll take your taste buds on a journey over land and sea, and Roast at The Quays for jumbo Yorkshire puds packed with sensational savoury fillings, who doesn’t love a Yorkshire pud?

For bursts of sunshine flavours, try the dishes created exclusively by our Local Food Heroes: on Caribbean holidays, the queen of contemporary Caribbean cooking Shivi Ramoutar serves up vibrant, authentic flavours at The Beach House and street eats at Taste 360. On Mediterranean holidays, celebrated Spanish chef José Pizarro presents tapas sensations at The Glass House and a street-food fiesta at Taste 360. Everyone can enjoy his special Celebration Night menu at The Olive Grove.

The swim-up bar at Infinity Bar is an unforgettable place to raise a glass of something chilled, while exciting nightspots for crafted cocktails include Amber Lounge and live-music nightspot The 710 Club, created by Music Director Gary Barlow. Like sister ship Iona, Arvia has a mix of fleet favourites, such as Sindhu and The Beach House, and dining venues that are unique to our Excel class ships, including The Olive Grove, The Keel & Cow and Ripples gelateria

Green & Co, featuring Mizuhana, deck 8

Green & Co’s exquisitely crafted fish and plant-based dishes and sushi courtest of Mizuhana promise some of the fresh flavours at sea. Take a seat at the sushi bar and watch expert sushi chefs at work or catch some sea views from table seating. One of the hottest spots on the new P&O Cruises ship will also dish up expert food-pairing advice and cocktails to die for.

6^th Street Diner, deck 6

Arvia’s 6^th Street Diner promises the best all-American eats in the coolest of settings. Embrace Americana with a laidback vibe that’s heavy on retro seating, mood lighting and a juke box packed with classic tracks. The menu in 6^th Street Diner promises big-flavour Stateside favourites; our pick has to be the fried chicken and waffles with bourbon mascarpone.

Roast in The Quays, deck 8

The Quays first debuted on Iona and the multi-venue dining piazza is set to welcome a tasty new eatery on Arvia. We Brits love a Sunday Roast and Roast Carvery will reinvent a classic, taking roasted meats and all the trimmings, and wrapping them in our favourite roast component, the Yorkshire pudding. Just add gravy and devour!

Picture this: the sun is hot, the water is cool and the waiter is just putting the finishing touches to your favourite cocktail. Bliss! Arvia will be the first P&O Cruises ship to feature a super-glam swim-up bar, not to mention an infinity pool with uninterrupted views of the ships wake. Just imagine the sunsets…

Sunset Bar, deck 8

Speaking of sunsets, did we mention Arvia’s Sunset Bar? Set to rival the coolest beach bars on dry land with chilled vibes, shaded spots and whirlpools, it’ll be the place to be for lazy afternoons and sundowners. Come evening, swinging seats are the hottest in the house as live DJ stretch late into the night.

When evenings call for a little glamour and ambience, the Amber Lounge on Arvia promises to be just what you had in mind. Exclusively crafted cocktails, aerial artists and live entertainment makes this hangout in the Grand Atrium the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. And as for the ocean views…they’re set to be even better than we remember them.

Anderson’s Bar, deck 6

Anderson’s Bar has come to be known as one of the most popular place on a P&O Cruises ship. Anderson’s Bar on Arvia will up the ante with a boutique gin and rum distillery, and you’re invited to become the new P&O Cruises ship’s resident master mixologist, crafting your own artisanal tipple.

Arvia’s Caribbean Local Food Hero, Shivi Ramoutar

P&O Cruises are delighted to welcome Shivi Ramoutar to their line-up of P&O Cruises Local Food Heroes. The fabulous new queen of contemporary Caribbean cooking will be bringing her vibrant, flavourful recipes to Arvia for her maiden season in the Caribbean in winter 2023/24 and will celebrate her passion for the region’s cuisine with an exclusive collection of dishes at Taste 360 and The Beach House. Shivi, who grew up in Trinidad before moving to New York and Leicestershire, now lives in London. She’s written two cookbooks and is resident chef on ITV’s Martin & Roman’s Weekend Best.

With her dishes for Arvia, Shivi will bring the bold flavours, colourful ingredients and joyful style of Caribbean food to new audiences, while adding personal touches that reflect her own journey. ‘I’m so excited to share my food with Arvia’s guests. It’s my interpretation of the Caribbean dishes that have influenced my life, with some British elements thrown in too. I hope to make the experience as much about limin’ (the Caribbean art of relaxing with friends) as it is about the food.’

Wavelength game show

Just how well do you know each other? Find out as you try to match your partner’s answers in an exciting new interactive gameshow, created exclusively for P&O Cruises, virtually starring TV presenter and game show host Ben Shephard.

Altitude, the outdoor adventure zone

P&O Cruises new destination for fun and outdoorsy adventures for all the family. Will it be a round of tropical island-themed mini golf, a splash in the cool outdoor water play zone, or playing daredevil on our first ever high-ropes experience? It is hard-to-beat fun in the sun with ocean views.

Arvia SkyDome

P&O Cruises new sunshine ship, Arvia, will soon be setting sail for tropical regions. One of the best places on board to enjoy the fantastic weather will be SkyDome.

This spacious area features a swimming pool and a retractable domed roof that’s perfect for letting in the sun’s rays while you relax. Daytime could find you dancing in the pool at a DJ party, catching the All Hands on Deck show with Wallace & Gromit, join in a quiz or soak up some live music.

When the sun goes down, the lights will go up as SkyDome hosts live bands and vocalists, exciting shows, buzzing club nights, atmospheric film screenings and so much more.

Mission Control Escape Room Experience

In another P&O Cruises first,  there will be an escape room on board Arvia. Mission Control is a multi-sensory experience, where groups of up to ten people will embark on the fictional submarine Arvia II to tackle a series of live-action challenges and puzzles. It’s the perfect way to get friends and family together on board – one Arvia escape room adventure is designed for adults, or there’s another suitable for all ages.

The incredibly realistic 3D surroundings will take you to the depths of ocean canyons,
where you’ll encounter astonishing marinescapes, sunken cities and underwater creatures. Motion
simulation and fully interactive consoles put you at the heart of the action, while 3D surround sound
completes the truly immersive experience.
Expect to take on a film-like plot as you follow a journey that’s full of twists and turns, to really keep you on your toes. Can you crack the code and save the day?

Arvia’s top-deck attraction will test your nerve and inject some adrenaline into your holiday. A highlight of the all-new activity zone will be the Altitude SkyWalk; the first ever high ropes experience on a P&O Cruises ship, suspended 54m above the ocean. Less vertigo inducing adventures are found at the tropical-themed Altitude Minigolf, where nine holes await your best swing. And because it isn’t a family cruise holiday without a splash landing, Altitude Splash Valley will be a boredom buster with a capital ‘b’.

The Grand Atrium

Arvia reveals her stunning Atrium

Like her sister ship Iona, Arvia’s Grand Atrium offers incredible dining and entertainment for all, set against a backdrop of spectacular widescreen ocean views. With warm tones, natural materials and custom-made elements, including a stunning installation of metal ribbons lining the great staircase, the dramatic space is the epitome of elegance.
By day, grab a speciality coffee and a pastry at Vistas café, enjoy pop-up entertainment and relax in the stunning space. At night, it’s the perfect place to catch dramatic aerial performances or enjoy atmospheric live music by local artists as you sip crafted cocktails at Amber Lounge. As for dining, The Keel & Cow is the home of great gastro-pub fare (don’t miss the best burger at sea, The Prime Minister, and incredible dry-aged steaks). Or take your place at The Glass House on deck 7, a prime position to marvel at horizon views and breathtaking aerial artists while enjoying delicious dishes paired with a stellar selection of wines.

The Avenue, deck 8

Welcome to The Avenue, the hottest address for shopping at sea. We all know that sea days were made for window shopping but with 1,300sqm of boutiques, handing over your room card at some point is a given. Shops on Arvia will tempt you with fashion, beauty, technology and travel brands, but the new P&O Cruises ship will also shake things up with immersive experiences, personalised products, bespoke collections and eco-centric luxury lines.

Oasis Spa and Health Club, decks 5 and 6

Wellbeing reigns supreme on the new P&O Cruises ship, with innovations including two VIP Couple Suites (boasting a hammam and steam room, no less), a therapeutic cool room, salt sauna and the intriguingly named Kneipp Walk, where a pebble foot massage combines with hot and cold-water treatments for a stimulating boost that’s perfect between long days exploring ports of call.

Rum tasting classes on Arvia

Savour a variety of fine rums at this special tasting as our on-board rum expert explains the story behind each one. Try P&O Cruises very own Golden Tide rum, and other carefully selected favourites including The Tidal Rum, in a unique experience at Anderson’s Bar on board Arvia – home of Aurelia, the first rum still at sea.
