Ruby Princess, sister ship to Emerald Princess and Crown Princess, has wowed her loyal passengers ever since joining the Princess Cruises fleet in 2008. Accommodating all of the signature Princess Cruises features and facilities, Ruby Princess is a modern day vessel with an air of romance and sophistication. Her crew of 1,200 strive to exceed your expectations daily, bring a personable appeal and dedicated service to all who cruise on the ship.
Ruby Princess offers her passengers activities and entertainment to fill even the longest of sea days, with a promise that your time on board will never be boring.
Offering outstanding comfort in an adults-only area, The Sanctuary boasts plush cabanas in which to laze away the afternoon and enjoy al fresco massages with a sea view. A serene pool soaks away your cares and provides a peaceful area away from the ship’s family-friendly main pool. Combine your time at The Sanctuary with a treatment in the Asian-inspired surroundings of the Lotus Spa or a workout in the fully-equipped fitness centre; both of which are located on deck 15.
As with many ships in the Princess Cruises fleet, the Piazza Atrium serves as the heart of the Ruby Princess and a meeting place for friends both old and new. The sound of live music surrounds passengers throughout the day, while spectacular aerial performances, live demonstrations and street acts fill the area in the evening.
Movies Under the Stars is a popular feature on board the Princess Cruises fleet at all times of the day. Find a spot around the giant cinema screen to enjoy sporting moments and family favourites beneath the Caribbean or Mediterranean sun during the day and Hollywood blockbuster movies at night. Here guest are invited to enjoy everything from sporting moments to the latest Hollywood blockbuster movies upon the giant screen created by Princess. Pool areas are transformed into an al fresco cinema experience, complete with guests’ very own popcorn service and cosy blankets, just in case the weather turns a little chilly.
Though daytimes on board Ruby Princess shine, her night time entertainment sparkles. The Princess Theatre is the largest entertainment venue on board, with Broadway-inspired shows designed to showcase some of the greatest acting talents at sea and have guests dancing in the aisles night after night. With comedy shows, talent contests and live bands taking to the stages of The Explorers Lounge and Club Fusion, your only issue will be deciding where to head first.
Pre-dinner drinks and late night tipples can be enjoyed in one of many bars and lounges on board. Located midships on Deck 7, Crooners Bar serves up an extensive martini menu accompanied by live music piano music nightly, whilst those looking to dance the night away should head to the Skywalkers Night Club. Here, guests can soak up the atmosphere from a private booth or hit the dance floor to a mixture of old classics and new favourites.
With over nine separate restaurants on board, Ruby Princess serves up a real treat when it comes to dining.
The Boticelli Dining Room offers guests Traditional Dining with the option of early first sitting at 5.30pm, first sitting at 6.30pm or second sitting at 8.30pm. Seated at the same table and with the same table companions each evening, Traditional Dining is a fantastic way for guests to mingle with others on board and make friendships that will last long after you head home.
Anytime Dining casts aside the restraints of set dinner times, instead allowing passengers the freedom to dine whenever they choose between the hours of 6pm and 9.30pm. The contemporary Michelangelo and Da Vinci dining rooms offer refined surroundings in which to enjoy fine cuisine, sparkling company and good wine.
Special occasions are celebrated in style at the Princess Cruises speciality dining venues. Sabatini’s immerses guests in the opulence of Tuscany; the elegant surroundings and authentic Italian fare transporting diners to Mediterranean shores. For the finest grill dishes at sea head to the Crown Grill, where delicious steaks sit on a menu with the freshest of seafood and guests are promised a memorable evening.
The dress code on board Ruby Princess is similar to that on board other ships in the Princess Cruises fleet. During the day, most passengers choose to wear shorts, polo shirts and light trousers, though shorts are not allowed in the main dining rooms at any time. The majority of evenings require an elegant casual dress code, however formal nights occur twice weekly and are an opportunity to get dressed to the nines and enjoy the atmosphere. Gentlemen should wear tuxedos or dark suits, while ladies often choose evening gowns, cocktail dresses and elegant trouser suits.
