As the matriarch of the Silversea fleet, Silver Cloud has travelled to all corners of the world introducing her passengers to the definitive luxury experience. Welcoming just 296 guests, with her capacity decreasing to 200 in polar waters, Silver Cloud provides more space yet fewer passengers in comparison to rival ships of her size.
Her small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodation – most featuring a private veranda – features a butler service, open bars and five dining options, including the Relais & Châteaux restaurant La Dame – the only one on an expedition ship. Her welcoming interior designs also capture the grandeur of the renowned Silversea heritage.
» 260 guests in non-polar regions
» 200 guests in polar regions
» All suites feature ocean views, many with a private teak veranda
» Cuisine inspired by Relais & Châteaux
» All Inclusive (room service, selected wines and premium spirits and gratuities)
Silver Cloud will carry 16 zodiacs for unprecedented opportunities that allow for up-close exploration in addition to 10 kayaks which allow guests to experience kayak polar exploration. Polar voyages are also led by a team of 20 expedition experts in non-polar regions and 22 in polar regions to enhance your knowledge and experience, with daily presentations and lectures by experts in the state-of-the-art theatre streamed live to all suites.
Though daily entertainment on board Silver Cloud is generally light, you can expect to find bridge games being played, daily trivia contests to be held in the afternoon, matinee movies to be screened in the Venetian Lounge and cooking demos, usually hosted by the executive chef and head sommelier and held at least once per cruise.
First introduced on board Silversea’s flagship Silver Muse, guests aboard Silver Cloud can enjoy Zàgara Beauty Spa which melds its beautiful Italian heritage with a 360 mind and body philosophy to evoke awareness and nurture wellbeing.
Be sure to save time for a hot stone or Swedish massage, soak your shoulders in the sauna or steam bath in the spa, or opt to spend sea days by the pool where there is ample deck space for sun lovers with both sunny and shaded areas to suit your mood.
From full-scale production shows and classical soloists, to cultural entertainment and feature films, there’s always a clear view of the stage in the Show Lounge. Listen to the ‘Voices of Silversea’ perform in the Venetian Lounge, listen for the soft harmonies of the quartet, pianist and singer who roam from bars to restaurants nightly, and be on the lookout for local entertainers who will come on board in select ports for one-off performances. Alternatively, head to The Connoisseur’s Corner for a premium selection of cognacs that are available alongside a premium selection of cigars.
Silversea have earned an enviable reputation in luxury cruising, particularly when it comes to cuisine. No matter where you dine on board Silver Cloud, there’s always a selection of complimentary wines, premium spirits and soft drinks available. The Restaurant, the ship’s main dining room, is the epitome of indulgence, where lavish décor meets culinary genius. Opt for Roasted Chilean Sea Bass as you cruise through the Chilean Fjords or Indian Chicken Korma en-route to Mumbai, to name but a few of the regional specialities that are unique to the destinations you visit and may feature on your menu. On sea days, opt for something from La Collection du Monde, a series of signature dishes created exclusively for Silversea by the Grands Chefs at Relais & Châteaux.
For a selection of Italy’s best cuisine served á la carte, savour the freshest of ingredients in La Terrazza. As an ode to Silversea’s Italian heritage, La Terrazza uses only buffalo mozzarella from Naples, olive oil from Umbria, ham out of Parma and the pasta is made daily on board. Guests can drop by for a casual buffet-style breakfast and lunch with indoor or al fresco dining, but as spaces are limited when La Terrazza is turned into a traditional Italian restaurant by night, those who are wishing to dine here in the evening should make a reservation.
Le Champagne is the only wine restaurant by Relais & Châteaux at sea and is exclusive to Silversea Cruises. Fine wines accompany set tasting menus of regionally inspired food, all amongst an intimate setting. Open for dinner only and with a reservation fee of $40 per guest, the exquisite six-course meal kicks off with a flute of Champagne and a selection of hors d’oeuvres, followed by hot and cold appetisers, the main entrée and dessert.
From marble baths to glass-enclosed rain showers, flat screen TVs, spa robes and beds outfitted with Pratesi sheets and linens, Silversea suites offer such comfort that you may well be tempted to spend even your waking hours in your suite. Even the smallest Vista Suites offer walk-in wardrobes, bedside cabinets and additional storage. Regardless of your suite category, all guests will be pampered by the personalised services of an attentive butler. Your appointed butler is only a phone call away to bring you a complimentary beverage of choice, make dinner reservations and so much more.
