Welcome to the largest full-rigged sailing ship in the world, Royal Clipper. With 42 sails that have a combined area of 56,000 square feet, Royal Clipper stands out amongst her peers in more ways than one.
Inspired by the tall ship known as Preussen, a vessel that was the largest and fastest ship the world had ever seen when it was launched in 1902, Royal Clipper honours the stunning design and holds the proud privilege of being the world’s only five-masted sailing ship.
From the moment you arrive in port you will be in awe of Royal Clipper’s stature and grace, along with her timeless traditions of the past that have been combined superbly with modern day amenities, promising a cruise unlike anything you have experienced before. Carrying just 227 guests in luxurious style, you’ll feel like you are on your very own exclusive yacht with the ultimate service and crew to guest ratio.
With a full 1760 square metres of open deck, there is plenty of space for you to soak up the Caribbean or Mediterranean sun in a quiet corner or by one of the three pools that are located around the Sun Deck.
Elsewhere on ship, you can find a secret hideaway in one of the hidden balconies on either side of the bow, or perhaps you’d rather escape from the decks of the ship and venture up one of the ship’s masts? Safety harnesses are provided for those with a head for height and once you’re up the mast you’ll be treated to the grandest view of all. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground but still want to enjoy some of the best views on the ship, climb out in the bow netting whilst the ship is under sail and make the space.
Royal Clipper’s unique marina platform is set at the stern of the ship, offering you the incredible opportunity to enjoy water sports from the comfort of the vessel. Try your hand at scuba diving, snorkelling, canoeing and so much more for a great day in the sunshine, before wrapping up in a huge fluffy towel and heading back to relax in the luxury of your cabin.
The one-of-a-kind Captain Nemo Lounge is home to the gym and spa, and features underwater portholes to give a whole new viewpoint on life at sea. Services in the Captain Nemo Lounge include massages, facial treatments, body treatments and hydrotherapy, and we promise you’ll leave feeling revived and reinvigorated ready for the next port of call.
The Captain’s daily briefings might be a strange thing to look forward to but on Royal Clipper they are unmissable. Listen up and he will impress you with his amazing stories and vast knowledge of sailing the oceans.
All but six of Royal Clipper’s 98 cabins are outside and the décor is tastefully traditional. There are 14 deluxe suites on board, offering you the ultimate in cruising comfort thanks to a private veranda, whirlpool bath and 24 hour room service.
You’ll find no rigid schedules aboard Royal Clipper. Instead you’re free to do exactly what you like, morning, noon and night. You might decide to enjoy a tipple accompanied by the soothing sounds of the piano, or perhaps you’d rather enjoy the sweet harmonies of local performers who will join the ship at certain points along the cruise. Cocktails enthusiasts can make their acquaintances with the bartenders in the Tropical Bar. Let them throw together the ingredients of their latest delicious concoction, before you disappear on up on deck to watch the sun drop behind the horizon.
Start your mornings with a continental breakfast of croissants, English muffins and sweet Danish pastries or keep it healthy with tropical fruit. Hot options are available too, with all dishes freshly cooked to order by the chefs on board.
A wonderful buffet of seafood, salad and grilled favourites awaits you at lunch, and if the day includes a stop at one of the paradisiacal islands you may even be treated to a succulent BBQ on shore.
When the evening comes, the elegantly appointed main dining room becomes the setting for the chef’s finest culinary presentations. Stunning décor and world-class cuisine makes dining aboard Royal Clipper an unforgettable experience. You are free to dine when and with whom you wish, and you can also enjoy the company of the ship’s officers who will also join guests in the dining room on most evenings.
