Meet Carnival Vista, the most colourful ship at sea. The latest ship in Carnival’s fun-filled fleet will set sail closer to home, cruising from Europe to the Mediterranean, where it will visit the sun-soaked shores of Italy, Spain, Croatia and a whole host of destinations across the idyllic Greek islands.
Carnival Vista is calling all thrill seekers, sun worshipers, bookworms and foodies with her new and improved signature spaces. Carnival are known for making a splash when it comes to waterparks and their latest Waterworks Park is the best yet.
Perfect for the kids and those young at heart, the Kaleid-O-Slide water tube is an incredible 455ft of twists and turns that will have you screaming for joy (or maybe in fear) as you slip around the slide in a one or two person raft. Are you ready to experience the thrill? You’ll find plenty more watery fun besides, including classic spiral waterslides, an expanded SplashZone and more wet play areas in which to make a splash.
Strap yourself in and zip around a course elevated high above deck on the all-new SkyRide and reach amazing heights on the SkyCourse ropes course. If you’re keen to keep both feet firmly on deck opt for a game of mini-golf, work up an appetite on the basketball or volleyball court or battle it out on the ping-pong tables – you’ll find endless activities to fill your sea days at the SportsSquare.
Carnival know that cruising with kids is all about the fun factor and you’ll find over 200 themed activities on board, including a huge indoor/outdoor under-the-sea play space. Watch the whimsical world of Dr Seuss come alive with a Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast morning or join in the fun of a Seuss-a-Palooza Parade. Over at Dr Seuss Bookville, little ones will find themselves lost amongst a rainbow of colours and walls brimming with books.
Family cruise holidays aren’t just about non-stop fun. With the kids entertained, you’ll find yourself with a precious few hours to while away amidst the peace and tranquillity of the adult-only deck-top retreat, Serenity. Sway an afternoon away in whichever hammock calls your name, pausing only to quench your thirst and address an eager appetite at the retreat’s bar and chopped salad station.
It isn’t easy to tear yourself away from this relaxing retreat but you must, if only to experience the Cloud 9 Spa. With the kids playing away under expert supervision in Camp Ocean Kids Club, your only worry is deciding which spa treatment to have first. How often does that happen on dry land?
With not one but two movie screens on board Carnival Vista, there’s no excuse not to seize the opportunity for a family movie night or a Mum and Dad date night. Grab your popcorn and take your seat in the first IMAX Theatre at sea, where the enormous screen spans an incredible three decks high. Behind the other door waits the Thrill Theatre, where 3D visuals will leap from the screen and bring the action to life before your eyes.
Laugh the night away in the Punchliner Comedy Club, where you’ll find everything from family fun to adult entertainment from comedian and TV personality, George Lopez. Stage shows including Latin Nights and Motor City promise show-stopping performances, whilst world-famous bands will be on hand to put on a show in Carnival LIVE. If you’re game for a singalong, head to the Red Frog Pub and Piano Bar for singing, dancing and clapping-along well into the night.
Boasting ocean views and cocktails to die for, the Havana Bar is Carnival Vista’s number one dance spot. Order a mojito, a frozen tequila shot or a traditional Daiquiri, tuck into the free snacks and enjoy the exhilterating Cuban vibe. It’s all about the beer in the RedFrog Pub & Brewery, the first ever brewery at sea. Grab yourself a microbrew, pull up a bar stool and tuck into some salty bar snacks before losing yourself in the games, live music and relaxed atmosphere that comes by the bucket load. If Dad never misses a game, send him to the Sports Bar, where he can watch his team in action and reminisce about life in the local back home!
Satisfy your inner foodie with al fresco dining, speciality eateries and mouth-watering menus in dining venues across the ship, including two newly designed Main Dining Rooms known as Reflections and Horizons. Both are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and feature a selection of familiar favourites alongside new and surprising dishes inspired by your destination.
If you’re looking for fresh seafood or Japanese influences, choose between the Seafood Shack or Bonsai Sushi, both of which are equally delicious and healthy. What more could you want? The Ji Ji Asian Kitchen restaurant throws a mix of exotic and familiar flavours together with delicious results, whilst a menu stacked high with steak, lobster and lamb awaits at Carnival’s signature Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse. For a behind-the-scenes look at where the culinary magic happens, take your seat at The Chef’s Table, where you’ll join a small table of fellow guests with tastes as discerning as your own for a night of fine dining.
