Carrying just 98 guests, Celebrity Xpedition is the smallest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, having been designed for an entirely different kind of cruising. Intended not just for travel but for exploration, Celebrity Xpedition sails to one of the world’s last remaining pristine environments, the Galapagos Islands. With sailings seven days a week, 365 days a year, now is the time for inquisitive explorers to pack their bags and set sail on a new adventure.
Celebrity Xpedition combines Celebrity Cruises’ stylish surroundings with a ‘small ship’ ambience, creating a journey like no other. You’ll find the atmosphere is luxurious yet easy going, with open-seating dining and a casual dress code. Celebrity Cruises is the only major cruise line to offer year-round itineraries to the Galapagos Islands, and her relaxed, sociable approach to sailing means that all you need to do is sit back, relax and soak up the beauty of the land that time has forgotten.
Ranging from portholes in ocean view staterooms to balconies in suites, all cabins are outside so you never miss a thing.

Unlike other ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, your trip aboard Celebrity Xpedition is less about the boat and more about the destinations you visit around the Galapagos Islands. All cabins are simply presented with a neutral colour scheme and feature a dressing table, chair and sofa so you can relax in modern comfort.
Celebrity Xpedition offers a voyage of discovery, so to help stop your mind wandering to the small, yet important details of gratuities, added fees for dining and more, you’ll find that all of this is included in the fare you pay. This includes all beverages including bottled water, wines, beers, spirits and hot drinks, all meals, all shore excursions, use of snorkelling equipment, gratuities and more.
A highly qualified team of experts are present on every Celebrity Xpedition voyage, so if you ever have a burning question or would like know more about something amazing you saw ashore, all you need to do is ask one of the friendly naturalists on board. They’ll share insights, knowledge and stories of this archipelago and join you as you explore the black lava rock on Zodiacs.
A cruise to the Galapagos Islands brings your closer to nature found nowhere else in the world. Watch Marine Iguanas sunning themselves on the rocks, sitting in perfect harmony with rainbow Sally Lightfoot Crabs. Getting a photo of these colourful crabs is much easier said than done, as they are incredibly fast and the slightest flinch will have them gone in a blink of the eye. Of course, these aren’t the only wacky wildlife that you’ll encounter during your time ashore, as you’ll also be introduced to tortoises, sea turtles and much more. The fun and education doesn’t stop there; once you’re back on board you’ll be invited to join in presentations and talk in more depth about the flora and fauna seen on your trip.
There may be just two dining venues aboard Celebrity Xpedition but don’t let that fool you into thinking that the choice will be at all limited. Gather your new friends or dine alone, as you take a seat in Darwin’s Restaurant, where you’ll receive nothing less than exquisite cuisine. Not only is all produce fresh and locally sourced, all fish dishes feature seafood freshly caught by local fishermen.
Elsewhere you can dine in the Beagle Grill, a restaurant which inherits its name from the ship that first brought a young Mr Darwin to the rugged shores of the Galapagos Islands. Sitting aft of the ship, you can tuck into delicious food such as freshly baked pizza, hot dogs, burgers, colourful salads and lots more, all whilst surrounded by the natural wonders of your destination.
Most of the time you’ll find that Celebrity Xpedition is a quiet retreat, with most guests spending their evening with books, games and friendly chatter over drinks in the Discovery Lounge, though the small dancefloor also attracts a number of visitors.
By day the Sunrise Deck offers a comfortable sunbathing area, before transforming at night to become a perfect spot to unwind under the moonlit sky. Grab drinks at the Blue Finch Bar, where you can marvel at the panoramic vistas both day and night, whilst soaking up the casual atmosphere. Barbecues are served on the final night of your cruise on Celebrity Xpedition and prove very popular with all guests on board. Later on, over in the Discovery Lounge, you’ll find Ecuadorian performances from music to singing and folklore dancing.
