Norwegian Star, Norwegian Cruise Line

Do you have your heart set on sailing the Baltic Sea, Europe or the Mediterranean? Maybe you’d like to sail the Caribbean, Bahamas or the Panama Canal? Whatever you’re looking for, Norwegian Star has the answer.

Daytime Activities

Grab the sun cream, order a drink from the bar and head straight for the sun lounges by the Oasis Pool. When the heat gets too intense, cool off in the pool or head to the indoor lap pool and Jacuzzi.

If being pampered is your idea of a holiday, the Barong Spa is the perfect place for you. Here you can rejuvenate yourself with a wide range of treatments and make the most of the facilities Norwegian Star has on offer.

Those who want to step up the pace should head over to the Barong Fitness Centre, where you’ll find professional personal trainers who will tailor make a fitness plan to your personal needs and preferences. Do you need some motivation to help get you through the workout? Just remember that a healthy and delicious smoothie or fruit juice awaits you at the Barong Juice Bar afterwards.

Cool Hang Out Spots For The Kids

Perfect for splashing, playing and paddling, the kids can enjoy the Splash Down Kid’s Pool, where they will find space age rocket slides and a paddling pool that will keep them entertained for hours on end.

The video arcade is every kid’s dream and they can blow off some steam by capturing aliens, winning car races, playing pinball and even flying a jet fighter plane!

Teenagers can escape from the realm of their parents in the Teen Club. This cool hangout features a video arcade, jukebox, football table and air hockey, so they will find plenty to do during the day. By night, the Teen Club turns into a teen disco and long gone will be the concern of hearing “Mum, Dad, I’m bored!” for the duration of your cruise.

Bars and Lounges

Entertainment continues well into the night so make the most of Norwegian Star’s 11 bars and lounges, where you can gather with friends both old and new. Special occasions call for refreshing mojitos in the Sugar Cane Mojito Bar or margaritas at the 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar. With a premium selection of Champagne, vodka, caviar, pâté and foie gras on offer, there is no better place to spend your evening than in the sophisticated Gatsby’s Champagne Bar. Alternatively, O’Sheehan’s Neighbourhood Bar & Grill is the place to go if you are looking for a perfectly pulled pint.

A Foodie’s Galore

Freestyle dining aboard Norwegian Star means that there are no pre-assigned seating arrangements or fixed dining times; simply turn up when you wish and eat at your desired restaurant. Choose between Norwegian Star’s two main dining venues known as Aqua and Versailles. The Aqua Dining Room offers creature comforts of the big city with their daily menu includes a selection of healthy light bites, whilst over at Versailles you will find award-winning chefs who have all been inducted in the world-famous gourmet society, the Chaine des Rotisseurs.

A signature dining venue aboard all Norwegian Cruise Lines is Cagney’s Steakhouse, where tender cuts of beef await. Sip on a delicious cocktail or two as you wait for your food to arrive. If you are someone who can’t get enough of your meat and wants to be in control of your portions, let the carving commence in Moderno Churrascaria. With so much on offer it can be tempting to overindulge, but fear not, you are on holiday after all!

La Cucina offers an authentic Italian experience with a wide range of rustic and delicious dishes to suit all tastes. Alternatively, if you’re looking for somewhere with a more intimate and romantic setting head for Le Bistro for elegant French cuisine.

You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled in the interactive dining venue of Teppanyaki, where twirling knives, flying shrimp and onion volcanoes are the norm. Alternatively, you can experience and explore an adventure into Asian fusion and choose from Japanese, Thai or Chinese in the Ginza Asian Restaurant.

Dress Code

Freestyle cruising, a concept pioneered by Norwegian Cruise Line, is the dress code aboard Norwegian Star. This free-flowing dress code allows you to fully relax and unwind during your holiday. During the evenings you will find that the majority of passengers opt for an elegant casual approach, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pull your glad rags out and dress up as many others will no doubt do too.
