Title: Cruising with P&O on the Azura around the Caribbean Summary: The Azura cruise ship is very tired looking, and you can see that in plenty of areas. However, as a retired couple you can easily overcome that in your mind, and being of a nature of put up with things. But the day to day things that you can’t put up with are; The quality of the buffet food, breakfast and lunchtime is now very poor. Items of food are allowed to continue to be...

Title: Appalling sound quality and volume Summary: I chose a “quiet” balcony cabin on deck 9 ( D514). The P&O Ron Bridon advert “This is the life” is a joke. The open deck cinema on deck 15 was so loud that it was unpleasant to sit out on the balcony. We were offered £100 on board spend as compensation. I accepted because I simply couldn’t face a long drawn out battle for more. Money does not compensate for spoiling a holiday to...

Title: Lovely Caribbean Summary: This was our first ever fly cruise, having sailed many times previously out of Southampton. It is difficult to find perfection as everybody’s idea of what is good differ. Our criticism was the evening entertainment. The cabarets were third rate at best and theHeadliners were quite the worst we have ever seen. That aside the food was reasonable , service excellent as usual and freedom dining worked well for us. We loved the warmth of...

Title: Very disappointed Summary: Although we enjoyed our holiday we found that the standard of P&O had gone down. The ship was shabby and in need of its refit. Staff in the restaurant had been reduced so took longer to get served. The first on deck barbecue provided hardly any tables and chairs to sit down and eat. There were about 10 chairs provided on the promenade deck to sit and relax on , lots of people complaining about...

Title: Disappointing Cruise Summary: We booked a double inside cabin but on arrival found we had been allocated a “family room” with bunk beds on the wall which dropped down. There was about 2″ either side of the bed to get into bed – we had to crawl sideways to get into bed and get to the little chest of drawers and there was not much room to move about. I have to get up in the night for...

Title: Very Disappointed Summary: This was my 5 time on the Azura was on this ship in February this year and could not believe how much standard have gone down when I came back in November this year staff at Aqua Bar wear rude and thought it was funny when a lot of young men and women was in the pool drinking cocktails and there behaviour prevented other people going into the pool the ship is in need of...

Title: Revisit Caribbean Summary: Excellent flight, good transfer and welcome onto ship. Food and entertainment really good as usual for P &O, along with 9 ports of call. Wouldn’t do St Vincent again especially on a Sunday but would do all others especially Grand Turk and Tortola. The ship is now looking tired and ready for its refit in March and staff attitude is not quite as sharp and ‘can do’ as it was when tips were not included.

Title: First on Azura Summary: The shows in theatre were good and the ships orchestra excellent. Other music generally too loud for me. for example a Big Band night with the orchestra was spoilt wth too much bass guitar. I would have thought that the sound man on the mixer desk could have done better with this. I suppose I am biased not being into loud guitar groups and their mod songs. The captain gave a good speech and his...

Title: Azura Summary: Azura is the 3rd Ship from P&O that we have been on. It is looking a bit tired with things dropping off, leaks among other things. We were pleased to see the Captain making time to talk to everyone he could, he spent about 20 mins with us chatting. Our stewardess Cathy was brilliant the room was excellent. We found certain areas with a lack of service for drinks. ie not enough staff walking around....

Title: Falling standards Summary: Sailed to the Caribbean. Captain was sooo funny and friendly. Every meal we had was excellent. Staff not as friendly as they used to be. Best service was in Oriental restaurant. I think p and o are letting standards drop re dress code especially in self service restaurants. Half promenade deck was available to smokers.

Title: Nice ship, nice holiday, nice overall experience Summary: Nice ship, had a lovely time – a little tired but apparently is going in for a refit soon. We did notice in the restaurant that the staff were not as friendly as they had been on previous cruises, in fact 2 waiters were extremely rude to us on two separate occasions! However this did not spoil our enjoyment. Our steward was amazing – Marx on A deck – fabulous – nothing too much trouble...

Title: Chav tastic Summary: Food in dining room at night was very bland. I paid for a day cabin on last day but 3 times the key card was faulty had to que 3 times at 20 minutes at a time. Entertainment was rubbish but there was a guitar player and singer in the atrium that was amazing. Rescheduled Virgin flight was a 40 year old 747 that was most uncomfortable and we landed at the wrong terminal meaning...

Title: Cruise to Canaries. Summary: An excellent cruise with no bad experience to record. All the ships crew were wonderful, always smiling and the service was excellent. Super food as always and generally good entertainment, although two comedians were very weak. The checking on process is so smooth and easy and the disembarkation is always easy as well.

Title: Tired and dull. Summary: The clue is in the title, tired and dull. This was our first cruise for a long time the previous one having been on a Princess line ship and it was difficult not to compare. Everything seemed to be very brown and beige and very tired looking, there wasn’t the ‘sparkle’ that we had been expecting. Our shower tray had a crack in it and the shower curtain kept coming adrift. In the Brodie’s bar...

Title: Canary Islands on P&O Azura Summary: My wife and I were on a 13-night cruise to the Canary Islands on the Azura, in early October. As shown above, the whole cruise was fine. I had 3 main courses that were not to my taste and 2 desserts that were also not upto standard, which is very commendable, over 13 nights! The cabin decor was not as I would have expected and I mentioned it to the Ship’s management. I understand the...

Title: First class holiday to the Canary islands Summary: The Captain and ALL his staff and crew were wonderful. The Azura is a beautiful ship but looking really tired, in desperate need of its refit. Disappointed with our superior deluxe cabin ,my wife never sat on the sofa as it looked really shabby also stains on the chairs and carpets. The Venezia buffet area needs to be updated like the Britannia and the Aurora . Disappointed that P&O have done away with the Costa...

Title: A very tired ship Summary: A very tired ship, has the feeling of an outdated and on its last legs holiday camp. Lost count of the number of ‘tribute’ acts, very cheap and not very cheerful. Speciality restaurants have slipped down a peg or two compared with Britannia. Biggest disappointment was the Ligurian luncheon, as P&O’s top loyalty tier this was supposed to be hosted by senior officers, our host was a young dancer from the Headliners Dance Company, apparently...
