Winter sun in the beautiful Caribbean
By Margaret Proctor on 19 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

We love our holiday in February for some winter sunshine and love the climate in the Caribbean. We have been on Azura twice before and love it. However, it’s due a refurbishment which I believe is happening this year. We enjoyed our trip this year as usual. The entertainment on the first week wasn’t the best we’d seen in terms of choice, but that was due in some way to the medical emergency which resulted...

A Good Cruise
By Graham Makepeace on 19 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

This was a good cruise despite several unfortunate problems. My wife was taken ill with her asthma problem which meant we had to visit the medical centre. The medical staff were EXCELLENT in dealing with her problem and getting her back on track very quickly. We also had a serious medical condition with another passenger who had to be airlifted by helicopter from the ship, this threw our itinerary out of line. But the captain...

Azura Caribbean back to back cruise January 25-February 22 2019.
By Janet Crees on 06 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed myself on Azura. The ports of call were very interesting and I was thrilled to take the excursion to Bequia from St. Vincent, last visited in 1995 and found it unchanged, a real Caribbean port, no jet skis, no loud intrusive music, and I took the excursion again and enjoyed the beach lunch thoroughly and plenty of rum punches and 3 swimming/snorkelling stops. Food aboard was delicious and I was...

2 weeks of heaven
By Mrs sherrine Byron on 06 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Well what a fantastic time we have just had aboard Azura. The food was again amazing staff extremely friendly and entertainment was very good especially Justine who was Tina Turner . The towel police could do with giving people 1 hour and not 30 min as I did have to rush my lunch most days but that was the only complaint.

Winter sun in the Caribbean
By Joan Barnes on 04 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Azura so much so, that whilst on board we have booked to go back again next year. The ship was very clean the staff was happy and friendly. The destinations were good, although we did give St Vincent the thumbs down. The town needs a boost and we did not feel safe so went back to the ship and took advantage of the sunbathing and the film on...

Caribbean Cruise
By Richard Smith on 04 March 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Excellent holiday with all the usual excellent P & O organisation. It was especially pleasing that all the local transport in the Caribbean is now of a high standard with mostly new minibuses and taxis.

Disappointed
By Dave Nutley on 18 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

This was our 3rd cruise with P&O, twice on the Azura and once on the Ventura. This last one on the Azura was a bit disappointing due to a number of things. The ship looked a bit tired, the sail away parties mostly consisted of a guy in the corner playing music, the internet prices were extortionate and unnecessary, the balcony cabins didn’t have bathrobes and slippers and for some reason, the balcony furniture was...

Shame about food quality
By Graham Rayner on 18 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Done a Caribbean cruise at this time on a regular basis so generally know what to expect from the P & O package (which is gradually going down market). Service standards still good but main criticism is the poor quality (and to a lesser extent) presentation in the main restaurant (Meridian in our case). After experiencing a very poor quality steak and then a very bland piece of pork we thereafter used the buffet and...

Special occasion ruined.
By Mr. and Mrs. K. Brumpton on 18 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Having booked a Caribbean Cruise to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary, my wife and I were looking forward to cruising the Caribbean in style and comfort. Instead, we were allocated a Superior Balcony Cabin, which was filthy!! This was a surprise to us because we were led to believe we had booked a Mini-suite. After several attempts to have our complaints acknowledged, we eventually had the cabin cleaned but only to an OK standard. As...

Nice ship, needs refurb
By Patrick Heeley on 18 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

P&O’s service to the Caribbean is second to none. We flew out on a chartered Dreamliner with Thomson Tui Airways and were transferred straight from the plane to ship in Barbados, with our baggage arriving at the cabin later. We quickly felt at home on Azura. It is similar to Ventura, and to a number of ships in the Princess fleet. Tailored to the British market with British bacon and sausages at breakfast, Sky News...

Very Disappointed
By Tracey Lancashire Lily Batten on 04 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

From the seats on the plane being incorrect, to P&O having me down as a Gluten Free Diet, to getting on board to the smell of blocked drains which were worked on all the cruise, to the air con in our opinion not working right it was our worse cruise ever. It went wrong right until the end with incorrect seats on the return flight from Barbados so I couldn’t stretch out and when I...

Ready for a refit!
By Bev Beecroft on 04 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Second time on Azura overall I had a great time but she is looking a bit rough round the edges. My only other negative comment is some of the entertainment staff need a kick up the backside particularly the lass trying to run the quizzes by the pool, please somebody teach her how to use the decks when doing a music quiz! She was booed on several occasions which she thought was funny, but unfortunately...

Enjoyable cruise but some shortcomings
By B Woodford on 04 February 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Having travelled to the Caribbean every January for the past 15 years, most of which were with Celebrity, we have been with P&O for the last 2 years and for ease of travel to the sun, we will not be returning to the American ships. Last year Britannia and this time we thought we would give Azura a try. We were in an overall party of 12 and we had a good time although there...

Ship was overcrowded. Had to queue for everything. Sea days unable to get a sunbed. Not up to P&O standard. Maybe it was a New Year days holiday that was the reason. Thinking of cancelling our cruise to the Caribbean in November with P&O.

Caribbean for New Year
By Andrew Burke on 21 January 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

It was our first ever trip to the Caribbean and a great experience learning about its culture and sadly its past. Went on an excursion most days and these were, in the main, good value for money from P&O. Azura is a lovely looking ship but in need of a refurb (thankfully due 2020). Most public areas are good but some of the deck areas are scruffy and the crew need to clean/tidy up more...

Overall
By Patricia Wiseman on 10 January 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Whilst the cleanliness, condition and comfort of the cabin were good, I was extremely disappointed with the entertainment generally. The evening entertainment, apart from A Tribute to Tina Turner and Jimmy James was of a very low standard. Around the two main pool areas, excluding the adult pool, the entertainment, music etc. felt like we were at Butlins on sea. This whole experience has been very discouraging.
