Overall

P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Whilst the cleanliness, condition and comfort of the cabin were good, I was extremely disappointed with the entertainment generally. The evening entertainment, apart from A Tribute to Tina Turner and Jimmy James was of a very low standard. Around the two main pool areas, excluding the adult pool, the entertainment, music etc. felt like we were at Butlins on sea. This whole experience has been very discouraging.

Christmas Caribbean Cruise A833A
By Karl Menzies on 07 January 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Overall the cruise itself was a good one, but P&O standards are certainly changing, in fact some marked changes since we cruised on Azura in April. Could there be an initiative from Carnival to market/rebrand P&O for a different ‘Customer’ base.? Cunard certainly continue to position themselves as ‘Premium’, and succeed! The entertainment choice is not as professional as previous cruises and the checking of details in Horizon leaves a lot to be desired. (Last...

Xmas in the Caribbean
By Sue Baker on 07 January 2019
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Just returned from a lovely Christmas cruise in the Caribbean on Azura. Everything just as expected. The ship, although looking tired, is still lovely, crew friendly and helpful, and everything we needed on board. The only thing that spoiled it was the group of loud and argumentative passengers who apparently were a wedding party. We understand that they were actually ejected off the ship after many complaints and a fight. Luckily we saw nothing of...

Not Impressed
By Coby on 02 January 2019

Took 5 attempts to get them to check the AC. Breakfast was cold 50% of the time. Food wasn’t very good. False description of what you got which wasted a lot of time. Overall not a positive experience.

Nice cruise, shame about the passengers
By Carol Barrass and Roger Dunnington on 17 December 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

We cruised the Eastern Caribbean in November. The cruise itself was enjoyable although none of the islands visited had the “wow” factor. The organisation was excellent- we checked in at Manchester and did not see our luggage until we arrived at our cabin. The cabin ( inside) was also of a reasonable size. Our cabin steward, Simon, provided an excellent service. Unfortunately, the cruise was let down by 2 factors – Food We chose freedom...

Carribbean cruise 17th November
By Terrene on 12 December 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

This was our first time on the Azura and our last. Having been on plenty of other cruises with P & O and others this failed by a long shot. Our cabin steward worked so hard but the cabin itself was drab and the carpet grubby. This will only get worse as we understand their workload is due to increase. The buffet restaurants were chaos with people entering from both ends. The food was bland...

Excellent first cruise
By David Knowles on 10 December 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

As first-time cruisers, we could not fault any of the organisation by Bolsover and P&O which lead to and throughout the Carribean cruise including the numerous pre-booked excursions. Of course, there were aspects of cruising, compared against standard land-based holidays, where we preferred land-based but that was to be expected as we had taken many years to decide on going in the first place. In conclusion, we had an excellent holiday and will cruise again...

Never again
By Maureen Neilson on 26 November 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

The ship was clean. The evening menus did not bear any relation to the meals provided. The crab soufflé was a lump of dough with no sign of the crab. All were returned uneaten! Entertainment was a young man (comedian) who was not funny and embarrassed his audience eg “is your wife going for ones or twos”! All acts appeared to be “tributes” and the singers on stage were shouting – not singing. There was...

Fantastic
By Angela Rahmani on 12 November 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

I was a little concerned about a transatlantic cruise at this time of year but no problem at all. It rained in the Azores but that can’t be helped. The Caribbean was fantastic and my highlight was the helicopter trip in Antigua. Also loved St Maarten. The ship was excellent as were all the staff. Couldn’t fault it and am considering the reverse cruise in March.

What a great cruise.
By Mr Peter Burlingham on 29 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

I had a great cruise. I’ve cruised a fair bit but this was the first as a solo passenger as my partner has passed on. My cabin was very comfortable and well looked after. All the staff were great and the Captain friendly. Food fantastic. Excursions very good. Just one thing. Please LOWER the single supplement, it’s way to high.

Food let down
By Maureen and Brian Cross on 22 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

An excellent cruise apart from disappointing food served in both buffet and dining rooms which were of inferior quality and served quite tepid. Otherwise a good holiday but let down badly by the aforementioned cuisine.

Restrictions on mobility scooters on board
By John & Mary Musnicki on 22 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

We were unable to get an adapted cabin so my husband could not use his own mobility scooter which folds up to suitcase size. However, he was allowed to hire a battery-driven wheelchair from Mobility at Sea to use with a standard cabin. The wheelchair was bigger and heavier than his own scooter and took up more space in the cabin than his own scooter. At a charge of £240 for 12 nights are we...

Good food good service but other issues
By Richard Wheeler on 19 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

Hopefully you will not be allocated cabin D722 at the back of the ship which is advertised as a Superior deluxe which it certainly is not. Due to excessive creaking and banging in the cabin ceiling then do not expect to get much sleep –the problem was reported but the ships maintenance staff could not fix the problem and there were no other cabins available at this level–asked to be upgraded but staff just smiled....

Med cruise from 30th Sept till 12th of October
By Barbara Moore on 19 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

The reason I have only given 3 for comfort there was a continuous noise like a loud plopping noise in the cavity in the ceiling above the bed so some nights I had little sleep although reporting this and several people who came to try and sort it the matter was never resolved. The reason I gave 3 for comfort I was rather alarmed that on two occasions the cabin steward entered the bathroom when...

My first ever cruise, so not sure what expect or find. Very nice staff on board and always on hand to help. Food was in my opinion very good, if you fine dined in one of the restaurants you were looked after and the food excellent. The entertainment on board daily was good also in the evenings in the playhouse/bars etc. The ship overall was pretty good but some parts showing a little tired, but...

P and O letting things slip?
By M Stewart on 08 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

We have just completed another P and O cruise aboard the Azura to the Canaries. Lovely weather as expected at this time of year but for the first time ever aboard P and O noticed that standards have definitely ‘slipped’. The ship is looking somewhat ‘tired’ with carpets very stained in some of the corridors and public areas. Our cabin carpet especially. At some point, it seemed to have been lifted and not fastened back...

How things change
By Dr David West on 08 October 2018
P&O Cruises | Azura Reviews

After 25 years we took another cruise with P&O. Things change in 25 years, so keep this in mind when reading my review. It was not the P&O that we once knew. The death of a thousand cuts expresses it best. Cost savings have reduced the experience to ordinary at best. The loo in the cabin smelled. Gone were the lovely menu cards, the crew show, the welcome into dinner by waiters in the traditional...
