Photo guidelines

• Ideally, we want the photo to be you on a cruise. We sell cruises so the more we show of us on cruises, the more it shows our customers that we love what we do too.
• Don’t have one of you on a cruise? Then a holiday setting works too – a picturesque beach, countryside, mountain or similar would all be great because our cruises go to some fantastic destinations. Also, make sure you’re sufficiently clothed – no swimsuit pics, please!
• It needs to be just you. Doesn’t matter if it’s taken by someone else or it’s a selfie. But it can’t be you with your partner, kids or besties because, as lovely as they might be, our customers need to see you.
  • Try and make it one that shows you clearly like the ones below – especially if you’re in sales because the customers will need to see your face on the booking documentation.
  • Be considerate of photos with alcohol in, please. Photos with things like colourful cocktails are okay because it’s part and parcel of the cruising experience but if you’re wielding two glasses of wine or necking a can of carling then it won’t look great.
• It needs to be of high quality and recognisably you, so try and make it a recent, digital photo. Not a printed one from the holiday snaps 15 years ago! Typically, if it’s a recent photo from your camera phone or a high quality digital camera then it will be perfectly sufficient. If you’re unsure, by all means ask.
  • Additionally, if you’re saving a photo from Facebook, then please check the quality as Facebook greatly compresses image size and quality.
• If you don’t have a recent photo of you from a cruise or holiday, then a photo of you looking happy and enjoying yourself will work too. We will be able to photoshop people onto a picturesque background. At least until we can get authentic photos of everyone on a cruise or on holiday.
