Arvia’s food and drink options promised experiences we’ve never seen before on a P&O Cruises ship – and they certainly delivered! Lukas Campestrini, Food and Beverage Director at Carnival UK, fills us in on some of the highlights you can find on board.

Green & Co. featuring Mizuhana

This is one restaurant I’m super excited about. The venue really takes customers’ taste buds on a journey over land and over sea – they can sample plant-based dishes that will really alter their perceptions, in conjunction with some beautiful sushi platters.

Green & Co. featuring Mizuhana is a real celebration of delicious food; I recently did a tasting and the plant-based offerings were amazing. This restaurant is all about flavour and it’s unbelievable what our team have managed to achieve.

Mizuhana is a sushi bar within the venue. Guests can sit at the bar where they can chat with the chef who will take their orders and create top-quality sushi using sustainable fish. We also have some seafood there, which is actually caught locally from waters off the south coast of England.

Roast in the Quays

The Quays is where we feature our street food outlets, and we celebrate some new British classics with the venue called Roast in the Quays.

This really brings home the great Sunday roast. The famous Yorkshire pudding is really the heart of every single dish, and not forgetting all the British roasted meats.

6th Street Diner

We have introduced an American concept called the 6th Street Diner. It has a great range of dishes, featuring great classics plus some regional specialities from the States like chicken and waffles. We have some slow-cooked brisket, Mississippi mud pie and the freakshakes that are so popular at the moment.

It really is an elevated step out of an American diner and we’re really keen to deliver the heart and soul of the experience. There is some great music on the jukebox and we give our guests coins they can put in to choose their tracks. The music is great, the cocktails are great – there is delicious food and I expect it will be really popular with families.

This is an included venue at no extra cost and is fantastic in terms of taste as well as presentation.

The Amber Lounge

Located in the heart of Arvia’s atrium, Amber Lounge features a brand-new cocktail menu designed with our Caribbean itineraries in mind. This has been developed around the theme of a treasure hunt; I won’t give too much away on that, but it’s an exciting new way for our guests to get involved!

Anderson’s Bar

We have developed a partnership with Tidal Rum, which is exclusively available on Arvia. Anderson’s Bar features an elevated distillery, where guests can watch our master rum distiller create our own rum, and enjoy a personalised masterclass with them. At the end, they can take away their own bottle, which will be a totally new experience while Arvia is in the Caribbean.
