With itineraries in sun-scorched destinations around the world, it’s just as well Mariner of the Seas has plenty of places to cool off. Pick a lounger, order an ice-cold drink and get lost in that holiday read you’ve been meaning to get through for months.

Got your popcorn, sweets, ice-cream and drinks at the ready? You’ll need plenty of treats to munch on as you get comfy on the loungers and watch movies on the huge outdoor screen suspended above the pool. Watch first runs of blockbuster hit movies or big time sporting events, making the most of the larger-than-life-action on the big screen.

Adults can experience a true oasis of calm in the adult-only Solarium, where you can swing in a hammock, laze on plush cushioned sunbeds and cool off under cloaked daybeds; all in absolute peace. We hear that it’s the perfect place to slope off to once the kids hit the kid’s clubs…

Culinary Experiences

Working up an appetite isn’t hard when you’re having so much fun, so drop by the Boardwalk Dog House and take a seat at the counter for more hot dog varieties than you ever even knew existed.

Premium cuts of juicy steak are cooked to perfection and served with hearty side dishes and signature desserts in the upscale setting of Chops Grille, explore a world of flavours in the family favourite Windjammer, there’s family-style Tuscan eats at Jamie’s Italian, chow down on freshly-rolled sushi in Izumi or head back to the 1950’s in Johnny Rockets. With red leather booths, Formica counters and jukeboxes at every table, Johnny Rockets serves up all your American favourites and mammoth burgers and fries can all be washed down with moreish malted milkshakes. At Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade, it’s all about winning. For the football fans on board and those who like a spin on the arcades, there’s no finer place than Playmakers to spend your afternoon. When it’s time to refuel, you’ll find wings, popcorn shrimp, sliders and signature Playmaker Burgers to keep you going, along with ice-cold brews.

The Bamboo Room is a laid-back, Polynesian-style watering hole, where cocktails are handcrafted with exotic fruits and spices and the décor will whisk you away with its throwback vibe. You can opt to impress your fellow shipmates with a rendition of your own show by taking centre stage in Boleros Lounge, where the beat of Latin rhythms will have you working up a sweat as mojitos and sunset margaritas cool you down. Once you’ve shown off the best of your moves here, swing by the Star Lounge for live music, entertainment and even more dancing, or head for the comfort of the Viking Crown Lounge for spectacular vistas.
