Allure of the Seas

Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas is an incredible Oasis Class ship that carries more than 5,400 guests across 18 decks. Sailing throughout the Caribbean from Florida, it pairs the scale of one of the world's largest ships with an ever-evolving lineup of entertainment and facilities, with a major 2025 refit adding the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, The Perfect Storm waterslides, and a completely redesigned pool deck.

Welcome to Allure of the Seas
Allure of the Seas entered service in December 2010 as the second ship in Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class, and at 225,282 gross tonnes and 362 metres long, it remains one of the largest ships afloat. With a crew of around 2,150 and seven onboard neighbourhoods, each with its own character, this cruise ship has everything guests need to feel at home.
A 42-day refit in Cádiz in early 2025 brought Allure of the Seas totally up to date, leaving it with more than 35 places to eat and drink, a tiki bar on the Royal Promenade and a rebuilt children's and teens' zone. Perfect for families, typical itineraries sail from Miami or Fort Lauderdale and call at Perfect Day at CocoCay alongside ports such as Nassau, Falmouth, San Juan and Charlotte Amalie.
Allure of the Seas: What's On Board

Central Park
Eight decks up and open to the sky, Central Park is the ship's quiet heart: a living garden of more than 12,000 plants and trees, with winding paths, benches, and the hush of a real park rather than a sun deck. It comes into its own in the early evening, when the lanterns warm up and the restaurants either side of the path set out their tables. Interior cabins overlooking this area are a favourite for good reason.

The Ultimate Abyss
Added during the 2025 refit, the Ultimate Abyss drops guests 10 decks from the sports deck down to the Boardwalk in a pair of twisting dry slides that begin 150 feet above the sea. The ride itself lasts seconds, though the queue is certainly worth the wait. Included in the cruise fare and open to anyone who meets the height requirement, it's no surprise that families find themselves coming back to the Ultimate Abyss for more.

The Boardwalk and AquaTheater
At the aft of the ship, the Boardwalk brings together a hand-carved carousel, a zip line strung nine decks above the walkway and the open-air AquaTheater, where high divers, acrobats and synchronised swimmers perform above a pool. The twin FlowRider surf simulators sit just above it, so you can watch somebody else lose their balance on the wave before taking a turn yourself.

Shows, Games and Late Nights
Evenings are always busy on board Allure of the Seas. Mamma Mia! runs in the main theatre, the ice rink at Studio B stages skating productions, and there's live music somewhere on the ship most nights. A space-themed Royal Escape Room offers a challenging puzzle against the clock, and the laser tag arena added in 2025 draws teenagers and grandparents alike into the action.

Speciality Restaurants Worth Reserving
Speciality venues on the Allure of the Seas cruise ship are always a treat, and it's well worth reserving a seat for these experiences. Chops Grille handles steaks and chops cooked to order, 150 Central Park serves a tasting menu beside the garden windows, and Giovanni's Table brings out generous Italian sharing plates. The Mason Jar, added in 2025, leans into Southern cooking and live country music, while Playmakers pairs sport on the screens with wings and burgers.

Enjoy Without Planning Ahead
You'll find plenty of dining options for last-minute decisions on Allure of the Seas, and they're already covered by your fare. Park Café serves salads, sandwiches, and its well-known roast beef rolls, and Sorrento's keeps the pizza coming until the small hours. New for 2025, El Loco Fresh serves tacos and burritos by the pool, and the Dog House serves anyone craving something quick on the Boardwalk.

Somewhere for Every Evening
The Pesky Parrot brought a tiki bar to the Royal Promenade in 2025, serving rum drinks beneath carved parrots and hanging greenery. Up on the redesigned pool deck, The Lime & Coconut mixes frozen cocktails within easy reach of a lounger, while the Trellis Bar sits among the greenery of Central Park for something quieter. For a slower pace, Boleros leans Latin, Schooner Bar gathers a crowd around the piano and Jazz on 4 sets out small tables for live sets.

Allure of the Seas Cabins & Accommodation

Interior
Standard: Approx. 172 sq. ft.
Promenade View: Approx. 194 sq. ft.
Central Park View: Approx. 191 sq. ft.
Spacious Interior: Approx. 260 sq. ft.
Allure of the Seas' inside cabins are a sensible choice for anyone who expects to be out enjoying the ship rather than sitting in their room. Each has two single beds that can be made up as a Royal King, a private bathroom and more storage than you might expect, and the Promenade View and Central Park View grades add a window looking down over the shops or the garden. The Spacious Interior grade accommodates families of up to six.

Ocean View
Standard: Approx. 179 sq. ft.
Ultra Spacious: Approx. 271 sq. ft.
An ocean view cabin trades the outdoor space of a balcony for natural light and a better view of the water, which many guests find is all they really use. The bedding and bathroom arrangement matches the interior grades, with a large window in place of the wall and room for up to five guests in some cabins. The Ultra Spacious grade is a roomy option for a family sharing.

Balcony
Ocean View Balcony: Approx. 182 sq. ft. plus 50-80 sq. ft. balcony
Ultra Spacious with Large Balcony: Approx. 271 sq. ft. plus 82 sq. ft. balcony
Your own balcony changes the rhythm of a cruise. Fancy breakfast outside, somewhere to hang swimming things or a quiet seat as the ship eases away from port? These cabins sleep up to five and include a sitting area, a dressing table, and a sliding door to a couple of chairs and a small table. Cabins facing Central Park and the Boardwalk trade the sea view for a look over the neighbourhoods below, which some guests prefer, though they are livelier at night.

Junior Suite
A Junior Suite is the first real step up, offering plenty of space, plus a bath and shower, a walk-in wardrobe and a sitting area a family can comfortably use. Junior Suite guests get priority departure and a handful of small touches on board, but not the concierge and lounge access that come with the higher suite tiers, which is a useful distinction to be clear on before booking.

Grand Suite: Approx. 371-580 sq. ft. plus 105-238 sq. ft. balcony
Crown Loft Suite: Approx. 545 sq. ft. plus 114 sq. ft. balcony

AquaTheater Suite: Approx. 433-720 sq. ft. plus up to 772 sq. ft. balcony
Offering Royal Caribbean's Sky Class benefits, these cabins provide comfort, a dedicated concierge, priority boarding, and meals in the Coastal Kitchen. Crown Loft Suites span two floors behind a double-height window, while AquaTheater Suites look straight down over the Boardwalk and offer views of the diving shows from balconies big enough to fit the whole family.

Loft and Panoramic Suites
Star Loft Suite: Approx. 722 sq. ft. plus 410 sq. ft. balcony
Ultimate Panoramic Suite: Approx. 914 sq. ft.
Royal Loft Suite: Approx. 1,524 sq. ft. plus 843 sq. ft. balcony
Enjoy every luxury at sea with Star Class suites, where a Royal Genie is assigned to your party to arrange everything from show seats to shore excursions. The Ultimate Panoramic Suite, introduced in the 2025 refit, wraps almost 200 degrees of glass around the front of the ship, while the Royal Loft Suite spans two floors with a double-height living room and a private whirlpool outside.
Allure of the Seas Pools, Health & Wellness

The Pool Deck and Solarium
The 2025 refit rebuilt the pool deck from the ground up, adding fresh seating, more shade and a resort feel around the four pools and whirlpools. Claim a lounger early on sea days, because they go quickly. Forward of the main deck, the adults-only Solarium sits beneath a glass canopy with its own pool, whirlpools and bar, and stays calm even when the rest of the ship is at its busiest.
family Summer cruise holiday

The Perfect Storm and Splashaway Bay
The Perfect Storm features three waterslides. Two racing slides let you go head-to-head with friends and family, while a third drops riders into a wide champagne bowl before spinning them out again. Younger children get Splashaway Bay to themselves, a shallow aqua park of fountains, drench buckets and small slides with a separate area for toddlers.

Vitality Spa and Fitness Centre
The Vitality Spa offers a full range of wellness treatments, from deep tissue massages and facials to acupuncture and salon appointments. Thermal loungers are ideal for anyone who simply wants somewhere warm and quiet, and the fitness centre next door is well equipped with Technogym machines and a view of the sea.

Allure of the Seas - Frequently Asked Questions

A typical Allure of the Seas itinerary sails from Miami or Fort Lauderdale, with calls at Perfect Day at CocoCay and ports including Nassau, Falmouth in Jamaica, Cozumel, San Juan, and Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas. The ship spent the summer of 2025 in the Western Mediterranean from Barcelona and Rome, so European seasons do come around from time to time.
Your cabin, main dining room meals, the Windjammer and other casual dining venues, the theatre and ice shows, the pools, the waterslides, the FlowRider and almost all onboard activities are covered by your fare. Speciality restaurants, drinks packages, Wi-Fi through the VOOM service, spa treatments, shore excursions and gratuities are charged separately. Your Cruise Expert can walk you through which packages are worth adding for the itinerary you have in mind.
Daytime attire is entirely relaxed, the one rule being that swimwear stays on the pool deck. Evenings are smart casual in the main dining room, which for most guests means trousers and a collared shirt or a dress, and longer sailings usually include a formal night or two for anyone who enjoys dressing up. Nothing is compulsory, so it is easy to keep things casual and eat in the Windjammer instead.
Allure of the Seas holds 5,400 guests and 2,150 crew members.
