Crown's Edge sits right at the top of Legend of the Seas, where a platform juts out roughly 154 feet above the ocean and leaves the decision of how far to lean entirely up to you. It's over quickly once you're up there, but the view from the top is undeniably exhilarating.

Beneath the AquaDome's glass roof, the AquaTheater stages high dives and synchronised swimming above a 55-foot waterfall, giving guests a reason to linger after dinner. Seating wraps around the pool on several levels, so it's worth arriving a little early for the better views.

For a quieter way to spend an hour between the bigger attractions, Lost Dunes brings a shipwreck-themed mini-golf course to the top deck. It's a simple pleasure, but one that works for families, as grandparents and grandchildren can play a round together, and it's also great for couples looking to fill an afternoon at sea.

Inside the AquaDome, Absolute Zero is billed as the largest ice arena at sea, hosting figure skating shows most evenings beneath a retractable glass roof. Guests can also book an open skate session during the day, which tends to catch first-time Legend of the Seas cruisers by surprise, given how few ships carry a full-sized rink.

Two venues set the tone for speciality dining on this Legend of the Seas ship. Royal Railway – Legend Station recreates a Silk Route rail journey across five courses inspired by China, India, Persia, Turkey and Italy, while Hollywoodland Supper Club pairs a multi-course dinner with live jazz for guests wanting a proper occasion. For more familiar choices, Chops Grille handles steaks with confidence and Izumi covers sushi and hibachi.

Casual dining spans Legend of the Seas, starting with the AquaDome Market, a food hall with six stands serving everything from Cajun dishes to Korean-inspired plates. Surfside Eatery offers a family-friendly buffet with a handful of more grown-up options, Windjammer covers the traditional international buffet and Sorrento's keeps the pizza coming into the early hours.

On Legend of the Seas, there are more than 20 bars and lounges. The 1400 Lobby Bar takes its name and cocktail menu from the ship's construction history, while The Overlook Bar spans two levels with wraparound views for guests who'd rather sip a drink than dance. Playmakers Sports Bar covers the big games, Boleros brings salsa most evenings and Lou's Lounge settles into jazz and blues later in the night.

Named after the highest hurricane rating, Category 6 is billed as the largest waterpark at sea, with six slides built around zero-gravity drops and 360-degree tailspins rather than a straight run to the bottom. It's busiest in the first hour after the pool deck opens, so an early start tends to mean less time queuing.

Reserved for guests aged 18 and over, The Hideaway sits at the stern around an infinity pool that appears to spill straight into the ship's wake, with DJ sets running through the afternoon and the Swim & Tonic bar close enough that nobody needs to leave the water for a drink. It's the part of Legend of the Seas built specifically for guests travelling without children.

Away from the pools, the sports court hosts basketball, volleyball, and pickleball for guests who'd rather move than lounge, while the adjoining fitness centre looks out to sea and offers a full range of cardio and weights equipment. Between the two, there's enough on offer to keep a regular gym routine going even mid-cruise.
