Amid her great choice of activities, relaxation and dining choices, Vision of the Seas still manages to feel intimate and offer something for all. Don’t miss sundown cocktails and wraparound views in the spectacular Viking Lounge, show stopping performances in the Masquerade Theatre and movies under the stars during your cruise aboard Vision of the Seas.
Kids can have fun and be let loose anytime of the day in the fully supervised Adventure Ocean Youth Programme and teens can hang out at the Teen Centre. When the kids and teens aren’t in the Kids Club they can scale the rock-climbing wall on the top deck, take part in a table tennis tournament, play a game of basketball, football or whatever takes their fancy on the dedicated Sports Deck. Alternatively, challenge the family to a round of Mini Golf, go see a show in one of the show lounges, or grab a delicious cupcake as you wander down the Royal Promenade.
For leisurely pursuits when the kids are having fun elsewhere, make the most of the sun drenched waters by one the four whirlpools or two pool scenes on board. The main pool is located at the centre of Deck 9, whilst the adult-only Solariumis aft of the deck. Perhaps you want to head for the spa, where you can unwind and enjoy a little serenity at the hands of someone else? Indulge yourself with one of the many treatment programmes or simply lay back and enjoy the breath taking scenery as you cruise past the Mediterranean coastline.
You’ll also find a solitude spot in the Latte-tudes Coffee shop so you can relax and unwind for a matter of minutes or hours before heading elsewhere on deck or back to your cabin to get ready evening meal.
Work your way from the bottom to the top of the ship, weaving in and out of Vision of the Seas alluring bars and lounges for a pre/post evening drinks. Start your night with a drink in the relaxed and refined Schooners Bar where notes from the piano will ease you into the night before heading over to the more upbeat cabaret bar of The Some Enchanted Evening Bar. Hit the bar and dance floor so you can bust some moves and mingle with fellow cruise passengers. Saving the best until last, the Viking Crown Lounge Bar offers the best views at sea, as this glass enclosed bar sit on one of the top decks for greats views as you sail out of port and when you watch the sun go down.
Enjoy show stopping performances in the Masquerade Theatre where glitter, sequins and jewels are the norm, and by the end of the show you’ll feel more alive than ever before. Watch movies under the stars with family and friends on the outdoor screen that is hoisted high above the main pool, or if you’re feeling rather lucky head to Casino Royale and splash your cash with a game or two of blackjacks, craps, roulette and Caribbean Stud Poker.
When it comes to dining on Vision of the Seas, you are spoilt for choice. You can experience a wide variety of culinary experience from around the globe from Italian trattoria at Giovanni’s Table to an intimate and exclusive multi-course meal at the Chef’s Table. If you’d prefer to try invigorating flavours of Japan with sushi rolls, sashimi, Hot Rock Plates or sukiyaki, dine in the wonderful venue of Izumi. Casual affair that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy can be had at the Windjammer Café. Here you’ll find food from around the world all in one location from heart American favourites, spicy Indian curries to authentic Italian pizzas and more.
Alternatively, dine in the The Main Dining Room, Aquarius, where you can taste excellent culinary master pieces that are served on a daily basis with a rotating menu. For a dining time that suits, you can choose between Traditional Dining or Anytime Dining. Traditional Dining gives you the pleasure of the same table each evening at either an early or later sitting, and if you opt for the Anytime Dining option you can dine between the hours of 6pm and 9.30pm.
Very enjoyable experience overall, great staff, great food, great fun & entertainment. Only have few slight grumbles (opportunities to shine)…
