Liberty of the Seas

There’s no shortage of things to do on Liberty of the Seas, one of the world’s biggest cruise ships.  With her incredible activities, amazing dining and endless entertainment, Liberty of the Seas promises the ultimate family fun holiday.

Sailing itineraries in Canada and the Caribbean, this ship makes exciting ports of call at destinations including Bermuda, St Maarten and Cozumel, along with calls into Royal Caribbean’s private Caribbean island of Labadee.

The Kids Will Never Be Bored

Kids will be torn between racing to the cool H2O Zone water park or kicking back with their new mates at the kid’s club. They’ll find a Sports Deck, rock climbing wall and FlowRider surf simulator on board too, so you need never hear the dreaded calls of ‘I’m bored!’. Liberty of the Seas is also home to the DreamWorks Experience, with the kid’s favourite characters from Shrek and Madagascar lining up to keep little ones entertained. The DreamWorks Parade is unmissable!

Something For the Adults

With the kids taken care off, grown ups will no doubt want to make the most of their new found freedom, if only for a few hours. Head to the adult-only Solarium Pool or take things up a notch by treating yourself to a soothing massage, facial or manicure in the Vitality Spa. Finding time to hit the gym can be hard work at home, but on Liberty of the Seas it’s a breeze. Work up a sweat in the Fitness Centre, where you can experience state-of-the-art facilities alongside professionally-run yoga and spinning classes. If outdoor exercise is more your thing, run, walk or jog around the Jogging Track on Deck 12; you’ll get a perimeter tour of the ship and the views of the sea, coastline and beyond are unbeatable.

Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Parlour

Ice cream unites the ages and you’ll find cups, cones, sundaes, shakes and smoothies brimming with Vermont’s finest ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Parlour. What could be better after a day spent sunbathing in the Caribbean? Further indulgences can be found at the Cupcake Cupboard just a few steps away, where you can treat yourself to freshly made cupcakes and even sign yourself up for a cake decorating class if you’re feeling creative.

A Evening To Remember

Enjoy ice skating shows in Studio B, blockbuster movies on huge outdoor movie screens hoisted high above the pool, world class West End-style theatre productions and laugh-a-minute comedy clubs. With so much on offer, you’ll never be stuck for ways to spend your evenings.

Hit the dance floor to some of the best Latin beats at sea in the Latin themed Boleros, or cha-cha your way over to the sophisticated Champagne Bar, where you can choose from one of the finest selections of champagne at sea (be sure to grab a canapé for the perfect accompaniment). Surrounded by the vibrant Royal Promenade, Vintages Wine Bar offers wines from all-over the world, whilst over in the Viking Crown Lounge you will find the best views at sea on the glass enclosed bar. Looking for somewhere that offers the finest beer on tap? Head to the Hoof and Claw Pub, a great British boozer serving Dad’s favourite beers and ales.

Get Your Taste Buds Tingling

The pickiest of eaters will find something to get their taste buds tingling in one of many dining venues that Liberty of the Seas has to offer. Choose to dine in one of the three main dining rooms known as Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Botticelli, where you’ll find attentive service and flexible dining with a rotating menu which changes daily.

The Main Dining Rooms provide guests with two dining options; Traditional Dining or Anytime Dining.  Traditional Dining offers set sittings and provides the peace of mind of having the same table ready and awaiting your arrival each evening.  Anytime Dining provides a more flexible approach and allows passengers to dine whenever they wish between the hours of 6pm and 9.30pm.

You’ll struggle to choose between the ship’s speciality restaurants, with filet mignon and mesquite grilled salmon at Chops Grille, and authentic Italian classics at the refined Portofino. Looking for more casual fare that all the family can enjoy? Go for all things 50’s at Johnny Rockets. You’ll get the All-American experience here, with some of the juiciest burgers you’ve ever eaten. Multiple buffet stations and made-to-order specials make the Windjammer Café a popular option throughout the day, whilst Sorrento’s offers the full-on New York pizzeria experience.
