As the summer 2024 itineraries from P&O Cruises go on sale, holidaymakers have plenty of itineraries and new destinations to choose from. Whether you’ve got your sights set on a foray into the Norwegian Fjords, or catching winter rays in the Caribbean, P&O Cruises certainly has you covered.

We’ve cast our eye over the P&O Cruises summer 2024 itineraries, and here are just some of the highlights we think you are well worth a look.

Maiden calls in exciting new destinations

The P&O Cruises summer 2024 programme includes a number of maiden calls. Aurora will be visiting the Moroccan city of Tangier for the first time in April 2024, while Arcadia is due to visit the northern Spanish coastal city of Gijon the same month.

From June 2024, Azura will be stopping at Catania in Sicily. The island’s second-largest city sits at the foot of Mount Etna, where you’ll be able to explore the stunning architecture at Palazzo Biscari, experience the hustle and bustle of the local fish market and explore the maze of underground rooms that exist beneath the city’s surface.

Extended British Isles and Iceland cruises

Arcadia will be staying close to home in summer 2024, and guests can expect an extra couple of days on board. The mid-sized ship is a firm favourite with cruisers since she launched in 2004, and she will still be going strong in a couple of years’ time.

Rather than the usual 14-night itineraries, P&O Cruises has increased the British Isles and Iceland sailings to 16 nights. Just one example is a 16-night Iceland cruise departing 9 June 2024, which includes an overnight stay in Reykjavik, as well as calls to Akureyri, Isafjordur and Grundarfjordur.

Arvia cruises get into full swing

Arvia, the newest P&O Cruises ship, will still be only two years’ old when summer 2024 comes around. By this time, she’ll be well and truly settled in with her shipmates, and as these new itineraries show, the 5,206-passenger ship won’t be short of showstopping itineraries.

Arvia will be calling the Western Med home for the season, offering 14-night cruises to a host of popular destinations. The Italy, Spain and France itineraries, for example, include calls at La Spezia, hailed as the gateway to Florence and Pisa, as well as Barcelona.

Azura’s brand new itinerary for P&O Cruises summer 2024

Another P&O Cruises favourite, Azura, will also be seeking out the sun in summer 2024. One of the itineraries that stands out to us is the new southern Adriatic holiday. You’ll be transported to Taranto and Catania, as well as the Greek Ionian islands of Cephalonia and Corfu.

You will be able to choose from seven and 14-night summer 2024 itineraries on board Azura. A combination of western, central and eastern Mediterranean itineraries are set to depart from Malta every Thursday.
