P&O Cruises has revealed more on what guests can expect aboard new ship, Arvia, debuting in 2022.
Known as the sunshine ship, Arvia is all about maximising those moments out on deck while soaking up amazing coastal and ocean views, and newly-released details have revealed a host of exciting P&O Cruises first.
New pool facilities on Arvia will include a swim-up bar and SkyDome designed to let you swim, relax and sip cocktails accompanied by DJ sounds from day to night.
Infinity and Panorama Pool and Bar
Billed as the ultimate in al-fresco luxury, the Infinity and Panorama Pool and Bar will feature two tiers of loungers, whirlpools and infinity pools, plus a P&O Cruises first – a swim-up bar. Admire uninterrupted views over the wake of the ship, then swim up to order yourself a rum punch from the stylish bar. Absolute bliss. Evenings take things up a notch, with atmospheric live music and even silent discos.
Sunset Bar
For fun in the sun Café del Mar style, the Sunset Bar will become a day-to-night destination for Arvia’s guests. With more whirlpools than ever before on a P&O Cruises ship, cooling sun canopies to relax under, swinging seats to admire those gorgeous sea views, and chilled DJ sounds throughout the day and into the night, Sunset Bar is the ultimate place for sundowners with friends.
Beachcomber Pool and Bar
For chilled vibes, Beachcomber Pool and Bar offers plenty of space to relax and order sundowners. Choose your favourite cocktail from the bar or an ice cream to enjoy while you watch the sun setting over the ocean blue.
SkyDome
Already proving popular on the recently launched Iona the SkyDome has something for everyone with its top-notch entertainment, great food and drink, and a retractable glass roof that lets you make the most of sunshine days and nights under the stars. By day, set up on a lounger to watch cooking demonstrations and take part in game shows with friends. At night, SkyDome transitions into a unique entertainment venue.

It all looks great and we are looking forward to our cruise on Arvia in 2023.
Can’t help wondering about how seating and loungers are going to be monitored. A swim up bar with how many seats and two tier loungers in some of the best spots! With over 4,000 passengers, will everyone get a turn?

I am in a power wheelchair ( paraplegic) I can swim quite efficiently and swim every day at home , please could you inform me if the New Arvia have a pool that is actually accessible and also a hot tub / Jacuzzi?
Hi Carol, all main pools are accessable by ladders but do have access to a pool hoist, unfortunately these can’t be used on the whirlpools/jacuzzis. Thank you.
Will there have an adult only pool on the Arvia like there is on Britannia.

My husband is in a wheelchair is it possible to reserve a sun bed and adjacent compostable chair for him by a pool we have been on Iona twice and pool attendant was able to help us.
