A little different
Malcolm Griffiths | March 2, 2023 | Ambassador Cruise Line | Ambience
Start delayed, bad crossing the Bay of Biscay. Called at Vigo instead of Porto stopping overnight for refuelling which meant we would not have time to go to Cape Verde. The cruise itself was good after the disappointing start. The staff were brilliant, the food was good, the ship was good when taking into consideration that she has been on the go for about 30 years. The balcony was very small. Throughout the cruise the Captain made the point in his mid day updates that he was saving fuel which was very obvious at the speed we were travelling. The cruise could have been planned better either less days or more time in the Caribbean.
As this was the longest cruise the Ambassador line has undertaken I hope they learn from it. They are really trying and overall it was a very good holiday.
