Drinks package rubbish. Food amazing. Flights abysmal… never again without a DIRECT flight!!!!!!!
Insignia ReviewByon 19 November 2018Oceania Cruises | Insignia Reviews
Thank you. Sorry about the late reply, but my computer has been in the dock. We enjoyed the brief stay in New York, just off Times Square. The first week of the cruise went as planned, but the weather deteriorated due to an early arrival of winter. We think the crew kept us well entertained on board, with extra talks, cookery demonstrations, and other activities. We hope the refit includes more light in the public...
Fadded Glory not Fall SplendorsByon 31 October 2018Oceania Cruises | Insignia Reviews
This was our first experience of the Oceania Line and we booked with high expectations on Insignia for the Fall splendors cruise from Montreal to New York October 18, alas I can only say it was disappointing. We had a penthouse suite which was roomy and comfortable but it came at a high cost which i can only say was not worth it due to other issues on the ship. The Insignia is due to...
Excellent service and foodByon 05 October 2018Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Our third trip on Riviera and we were not disappointed in service and food Ship is looking a bit tired so we are looking forward to the refurb!
One weeks R&RByon 06 September 2018Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Speciality restaurants superb. Grand Dining Room disappointing – limited menu. Think Oceania is getting a little too relaxed in its dress code. A passenger going for dinner in shorts and golf shirts is not what I really signed up for. A group booking of some 25 people spoiled our experience in Jacques, the French restaurant, as they made speeches and generally caused mayhem. Even the Maitre D apologised.
Not what we expected.Byon 24 May 2018Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
We spent two weeks on the Riviera, returning 10 days ago. The decor on the ship was beautiful, however we were very disappointed in the Grand dining room, it was very bland, no flowers on the table, no atmosphere, so only visited that twice. The theatre really needs updating, it’s very old fashioned and definitely not up to the standard of other ships. The evening entertainment was awful, very amateurish, we walked out of all...
Canary Island SojournByon 10 May 2018Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Our third time on the Riviera as we traced a similar cruise itinerary over 40 years ago ! The ship is by and large comfortable and the maximum number of passengers we feel happy with. The furniture in The Terrace Restaurant is looking its age and is too large for the staff to serve passengers well. Replacing this furniture with slightly smaller and lighter coloured chairs would assist the staff greatly. It was a disappointment...
Another great cruiseByon 20 March 2018Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
This is the second time on the Riviera and we were not disappointed at all. Everything was as before, great food, lovely stateroom, very attentive staff. Ports of call and shore excursions amazing. Due to bad weather in parts of the Caribbean the captain chose two excellent alternative ports. We will have no hesitating in booking with Oceania Cruises again.
Always PerfectByon 12 December 2017Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
We Love this company. We Love this ship. 5th time on board and just as good as the 1st. We are pampered from start to finish. Treated like a valued guest. Culinary expertise and variety outshines many competitors. Cannot wait to be back!
Oceania RivieraByon 31 October 2017Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Sailed on Oceania Riviera from Monte Carlo to Barcelona on 17/10/2017 for 9 days. Ship beautiful in every way. Medium sized ship which carries only 1200 Passengers so plenty of space every where, no problems getting sun beds at any time. Cabins are very spacious and spotlessly clean. We have been on quite a few cruises and must say this was the best food ever, especially in the free to visit speciality restaurants. The staff...
Wonderful holiday with Oceania CruisesByon 08 September 2017Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Our second cruise on the same ship and once again a superb experience, the quality of the food and choice of venues particularly outstanding.
Disappointed with Oceania CruisesByon 08 August 2017Oceania Cruises | Marina Reviews
Not much going on for solo travellers – cocktail meet up on first night, followed by one hosted lunch & dinner. Felt like the ship was taken over by 250 plastic surgeons & wives due to a business convention that was held on Marina – Bolsover could have done more to check this out – had trouble with reservations would not accept debit cards & then was difficult about accepting Scottish pounds even though they...
First cruise with OceaniaByon 02 November 2016Oceania Cruises | Marina Reviews
The Marina really is a beautiful ship. I love the size as its not to large and impersonal. You cannot fault the service of the staff, they’re always on hand and are very professional, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and anything you want can be arranged. We were told by our agent to pre book the speciality dining rooms (avail at no extra charge) on line beforehand and this...
BEST CRUISE EVER!Byon 28 July 2016Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
What can I say but WOW! we travelled on Riviera for 10 nights for the first time July 2016. this cruise line is incredible. For my husbands job we get to eat at many a fancy restaurant but non of those compared to the standard of the food on Oceania. I absolutely loved the fact we got all the speciality restaurants for FREE and the choice of food is unlike anything I have ever experience...
First time with Oceania – hooked!Byon 02 June 2016Oceania Cruises | Nautica Reviews
After trying a number of different lines, some more than once, we decided to give Oceania a try as we were looking for something more than the Standard level which seems to have been eroded in recent years. We did once try all inclusive but decided we didn’t consume enough alcohol to get value for money! Oceania includes everything but alcohol and excursions, but we were swept away by the standards of food and service...
Shakey startByon 16 March 2016Oceania Cruises | Riviera Reviews
Started cruise at Miami but ship being cleansed due to nor virus bug from previous cruise Hence late boarding staff under stress lousy first 3days But after that excellent service resumed
DisappointedByon 19 January 2016Oceania Cruises | Nautica Reviews
After paying for concierge, apart from a bottle of bubbly and one deck higher we could not discover any advantages .Smallish cabin average furniture very tight shower room, needing a little TLC. After all of the claims of the best food at sea, mostly bland food served, of which the waiters agreed many passengers mention that. The Chef in the Toscana dining room certainly made an effort and produced some authentic Italian food and should...
NOTHING BUT PRAISEByon 19 October 2015Oceania Cruises | Regatta Reviews
We had the most enjoyable cruise possible! Everything was first class! Staff superb! Look forward to doing another as soon as possible!
recent cruise from Rome to VeniceByon 13 October 2015Oceania Cruises | Marina Reviews
lovely ship , excellent cabin and itinerary Staff uniformly excellent real plus points are the specialist restaurants Main dining room large ,really quite in impersonal and less atmosphere We encountered poor service here on occasions and especially slow action by wine waiters . We like to have a drink as we choose our menu sometimes at the table rather than in the bars. Good shows but too early for late diners like us our problem...
hope this helps othersByon 08 March 2015Oceania Cruises | Marina Reviews
In short it was a curates egg.Our flights out to Sydney (via H.K.) with Cathay were good, wereas our return flights from Auckland (via H.K. ) to London were VERY poor.On arrival in Sydney our transfer to the Hotel (Shangri la ) was a JOKE.Oceania charge the earth for transfers but do not give value for money. Having been travelling for 36 hours it was NOT fun to spend 30 minutes trying to find the Oceania...
