So relaxing

Cruise Summary
It was our first cruise on the Celebrity Constellation and our 10th cruise overall. My wife and I, already in our early 80s, enjoyed our experience on Constellation and thought the embarkation and debarkation processes were as smooth as any. We had a comfortable stateroom on deck-3 and its location. What made this 15-night cruise so pleasant and relaxing was the excellent and dedicated staff providing us with good service and quality right through from the medical staff, stateroom attendants, restaurants and the entertainment teams.
We loved the food in the San Marco Dining Room and Ocean view Café and spent mid-morning coffee and afternoon tea in the Cafe al Bacio that served delicious pastries. On our frequent walks around the ship, I found the ships staff and senior officers very approachable, including Captain Vittorio Cantu who at times frequented the Cafe’s and restaurants.
Food was excellent wherever we ate, and entertainment was pleasantly varied and the music in the bars was relaxing and not too loud. The library was very disappointing, the worst on any ship I had sailed on for quality, selection and quantity. We took in quizzes that are always fun and went to the theatre each evening, followed by a night-cap in the Rendezvous Bar.
Most mornings we made time to take in the daily destinations presentations that are informative. We used Celebrity excursions in Dubai, Oman, Mumbai, Goa, Colombo Sri Lanka—all offered comfortable air-conditioned buses with reasonable guides to explain the history and different cultures; for the most part, the shore trips are very well organized.
In all, the Celebrity Constellation was a very pleasant and relaxing cruise, something we needed after our mind-blowing seven-night journey through Northern India.
