We were blown away with the ship from the moment we stepped on board we were greeted with a warm welcome and a complementary glass of champagne. We found our way to the cabin with ease, a balcony cabin 2B grade just by the ilounge and across from the lifts which proved to be the perfect location for us.
Th cabin was laid out really well, bathroom to the right as you walked in and a corner shower with glass sliding doors (no dreaded shower curtain) plenty of room and plenty of storage. We had a king size bed and then a sofa which was made into a bed for our Daughter. We had the best time on this ship and can definitely recommended it.
We had 2nd dining which suited us travelling as a party of nine so found having the same table each evening worked really well. The food in the main restaurant was great and our waiters very accommodating. We did try the speciality restaurants Murano’s the French style restaurant, this was fabulous the food was to die for. We also tried Qsine which is amazing, you are given an apple ipod to select your menu choice which is bit quirky, the food and experience was fantastic. The Tuscan Grille again was another fabulous meal and the bistro on five where we had crepes, all fantastic. Just opposite the Bistro is the Caf?? Al Bacio so if like me you like a caramel latte or hot chocolate this was the place, nice comfy chairs to sit a relax whilst enjoying a speciality coffee with shortbread biscuits.
The pool are was well laid out plenty of space between sun lounges, and for a short amount of time each afternoon the resident band came on which we enjoyed, they played the kind of songs that everyone knew and there was a lot of toe tapping around the pool.
The evenings the entertainment was good, singer on in Michael’s club and Sky observation lounge had the resident band. Found it a bit odd that the were doing a Salsa dance class at 10.30pm one night, when really the party should have been in full swing. The production shows and the comedian we saw were really good. The Casino is big and we had flutter in here a few times.
Overall we had the best time and this is the best Ship I have cruised on (so far) we called in at Venice which is now one of my most favorite places.
