Cruise excellent – transport organisation poor

Once on board the cruise ship everything was excellent – food, service, stateroom, staff entertainment etc.
We travelled from the UK and stayed in a hotel local to the port which was fine and we had the times for pick up by a coach to the ship.
The coach was an hour late with no one from Celebrity at the hotel to inform us what was happening, plus when it arrived there was 1 bus which wasn’t big enough for all the people so the driver was ringing to find what was happening – another bua mini bus for uss arrived about 10 mins after. Princes cruise people were staying at the same hotel and there were reps informing their people what coach to get and checking no one was left.

On the return we cleared customs from the ship and as there was a person in a wheelchair in our party we were located at a particular location and told the transport would arrive shortly. 30 mins later after loads of other buses / taxis had arrived and left we went and found a person from Celebrity at the arrivals area as there was no Rep in our area and he told us we were in the right place. After an hour we saw a Celebrity bus at arrivals, so we asked the driver if he knew where our transport was, he contacted a supervisor of another transport company and she sorted out mini bus for us to the day room we had.

Basically this poor service was all due to Celebrity not having a Rep at the hotel and at the disembarkation to organise and inform people whats happening as they have in the past.
