Eclipse is really good

First time on Celebrity Eclipse, having done P&O previously. Check in quite smooth considering the amount of passengers. Cabins ready once we were onboard. Cabin larger that on Oceana – very clean ans comfortable – stateroom attendant very good, toiletries replaced constantly – we did not need our own. Lovely ship – clean modern lines. Almost all staff very helpful and polite – our waiters and stateroom attendants went above and beyond the call of duty. Excursion desk staff rather unhelpful and not very friendly – on several occasions giving wrong or conflicting information. On sea days sometimes difficult to find a seat – perhaps this can’t be helped on any ship. Entertainment very good – varied to suit all tastes – although we did hear a few folks complaining – suppose you can’t please everyone! Food good and plentiful – in dining room the menus are quite American and a bit too sophisticated for my 86 year old mum who preferred P&O’s more traditional menus. Buffet food also good with large choice – could get rather crowded with no where to sit – we tended to avoid the buffet anyway due to mobility problems and the fact that passengers tend to handle food – this confirmed when we saw a gentleman putting his hands into the salad bowls Noro virus on board – we escaped! – not too surprising though, saw passengers refusing to use gel, and saw at least one lady leaving public washroom without washing hands. Ship very clean and staff constantly cleaning. Public washrooms very clean too. Disembarkation very quick and smooth – well done Celebrity. We would definately go again, although the norovirus problems on cruise ships is a bit off putting.
