Eclipse to the Canaries
Jill Williams | January 17, 2015 | Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
This was our second time on Celebrity Eclipse, and we were in a Aquaclass cabin. This was a good sized cabin with a balcony, and the only down side was, lack of storage , and a balcony overshadowed by the deck above sticking out a few feet over our balcony. As we are not sun worshippers this didn’t bother us too much, but might upset some people. The storage in the cabin is inadequate, with a cupboard above the bed, and only four little drawers, and a wardrobe. The cupboard over the bed is unuseable to two 80 year olds, and my husband had to keep his shirts and underwear in his suitcase under the bed, not very convenient. We ate in the Blu Restaurant, which was very good, and the staff were very attentive, especially as I am disabled, but nothing was too much trouble. One other disaopointment was that having been on the ship three yeara ago, we had seen all the shows. Only one act, a chinese magician, who was superb, was the only act we had not seen before. Most evenings we went to the Cellar Masters bar, where Perry Grant played the piano and sang. He was a first class entertainer, and his act revolved around audience participation. He was a bit naughty, but anyone who enjoys a good sing song, and takes the show for what it is and is prepared to participate would enjoy it. The lay out of the ship is very good, unlike last year on the P&O Azura. We only got into the theatre once on that trip, and the doormen were most rude when we asked why. We would certainly travel with Celebrity again, unlike P&O.
