Faultless Luxury : Baltic Cruise 19th Jun 2016

This was our first time with Celebrity, having cruised previously with P&O.
Check-in was fantastically efficient – we were given an arrival time for embarkation of 11:30 – we were on board at 11:32.
Our first lunch set the tone of the holiday. The choice of food at the self service restaurant is absolutely fantastic and it is well laid out with plenty of room between stations allowing you to wander about a make your decision before serving yourself. (Much better than the P&O equivalent). Once you have sat down with your meal there are plenty of drinks waiter about to get you a lunchtime beer.
Our Aquaclass cabin was amazing. Spotlessly clean, with a lovely large shower, with glass sliding screen (no horrible shower curtain here). Large balcony with two chairs, footstools and a large table. Towels we changed twice a day. Our cabin was nicely situated on deck 11 – one floor below the pools and two floor below the self service restaurants.
The ship is very well laid out and easy to find your was around. The ships photographers are far less pushy than P&O.
All meals in Blu were great. We had a table for two at every meal. Staff were brilliant and even remembered our name and what we liked to drink after a few days into the holiday.
Bar service was also excellent two in all the bars we visited. The staff on this line seem much more enthusiastic than P&O. We reckoned than the staff/guest ratio was higher. Nice to have the choice of either waiter or bar service. I think drink prices were higher than P&O, but we had a free drinks package, so were unaffected
The ship was extremely clean. We particularly liked both the indoor and outdoor pools and the running track.
All tours were well organised and ship embarkation was quick and efficient. Nice touch of offering free drinks to returning passengers as they waited to re-board the ship. The guest relations area of the ship produces information for those wanting to explore locations on their own.
We bought a dining package about a week prior to the holiday and so had meals in each of the three speciality restaurants. All three were good and we thought well worth the money.
Disembarkation day was well organised. Normal breakfast service in Blu. We had to vacate the cabin by 8am. We had disembarked and were on the road by 9:45.
All in all, the Celebrity staff made the holiday. In the whole of the two week, we had slow bar service only once. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, eager to make sure you had a great holiday. I would recommend this company to anyone. We are now looking out for deals to book again for next year.
