Need to Know
Pamela and Geoffrey Wheeler | January 31, 2018 | Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
Boarding the ship seemed very long, as we had to wait for a wheelchair, there was only one sitting space on the quay for 6 people…..
However once on board, we found the ship excellent the are staff very well trained and welcoming. Cabin reasonably spacious and all food excellent except the canapes arriving at 2pm, seemed too early and rather odd looking wet type of bits, no cutlery, improved a bit after we mentioned the problem. Theatre productions interesting but regretfully deafening in the upper seats. Free films available, choice very limited.
On the days that we docked we were able to get sun beds around the pools. Regretfully they seemed fully booked by the time we looked on other days.
We enjoyed the music played about the ship, something for everyone.
The shops were full of things to purchase, but the discounts which appeared at the end of the cruise seemed to indicate great overpricing at the start. Regretfully did not stock many basic clothing…. eg ladies mid shorts!! which I would have purchased….
The pricing of the various beauty parlour had a similar problem, also there was no basic facials or massage offered that could be offered at a practical price.
Since we have limited walking we really enjoyed our holiday on the ship, it was very comfortable and the people were a delight.
But there was a real problem after we disembarked…. huge time delays to be sent on a coach to hotel to wait until our flights….. surely if a man on the quay was supposed to know which coach to go on… the guest relations on board, could have issued a note to each of us prior to disembarking… to save the chaos.
The internet was expensive and other onOne was given the feeling that one should ships it is now free.
The pools are quite small and six people seemed a crowd.
