Not quite five star.

You know what it’s like when you don’t feel absolutely elated with your holiday. We sailed for the first time from Southampton. The transportation to there by Eavesway was superb. We had no queuing at anytime to get on the ship, very well organised. Unfortunately entering the ship was a bit chaotic due to passengers still getting off!

We were not met by the usually smiling faces offering us a drink of bubbly, however, we did find those smiling faces past the jam of people getting on and off at the same time. Not a good idea Celebrity, it creates a frenzied feeling at the beginning of a much needed relaxing holiday.

This is a not but nearly a five star review…… the one thing which let us down on this trip was THE FOOD…. it was not up to it’s usual standard. I am referring to dinner time only. The breakfast choice and lunch-time choice was excellent. Note to future cruisers, don’t expect it to be a relaxing experience in the Ocean View Cafe, it is chaos, not enough seats, too many people, food and drink spillages, you are better off going into the restaurant, much more relaxing, and the same for breakfast.

Dinner menu was not as high a standard as on previous Celebrity ships, namely the Equinox. We have normally done Caribbean Cruises, the menu is far more cosmopolitan to cater for the Americans, I would like some of that on the Med cruises. Out of ten dinners only 6 were 5 star, the other 4 very disappointing.

As dining experiences are part of your cruise I am sorry I felt moved enough to write this review, hence the title.
