Not such a good cruise
Jeff and Sandra Rubery | December 3, 2014 | Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Equinox
Sailed on 13th February from Fort Lauderdale on the “Ultimate Caribbean” cruise, on the Celebrity Equinox. Fine for a few days then my wife was struck with the suspected Norovirus. Confined to cabin, along with several others in the same position on this cruise. A bad experience all round. Will say the medical staff and cabin steward were good. Disembarkation back in Fort Lauderdale was unbelieveably slow, took at least two hours waiting and queuing to get off, and a bad tempered coach driver for the transfer!. This meant a nice day at the hotel in Miami was very much shortened. before we had to leave. This was the final straw. This being our 7th cruise, with no problems before, we are very disappointed.
Will we cruise again, doubtful, possibly on a small ship. We are aware the Norovirus can hit cruise ships but it makes for a very unpleasant experience.
