Stunning Scenery

Having cruised on both Eclipse and Equinox, we were looking forward to our cruise on this Millenium class ship.

There were several features that we really enjoyed. A much larger seating area in Al Bacio, which is such a popular venue on board.

We enjoyed the Rendez-View Lounge for pre-dinner drinks. Again more seating and natural light than the equivalent areas on the Solstice ships.

We attended the Captain’s reception in the Constellation Lounge. The event was marred by a loud band and singer which made conversation with the officers very difficult. A string quartet or pianist would have been much more suitable, so that guests could enjoy chatting with the officers. Celebrity please note!

Cleanliness in the public areas and our stateroom was excellent and up to Celebrity standards.

We found that the food and service for dinner in the Trellis Restaurant was a bit below our previous Celebrity experiences.

Our meal in the Tuscan Grill was of the usual high standard and a most enjoyable experience.

Food and choice in the Oceanview Caf?? was good. There was a strong influence of Asian type cuisine which reflected the makeup of the passenger list.

The itinerary was why we chose the cruise, and we were not disappointed. The visit to the Hubbard Glacier was most memorable.

We are not ones for attending the theatre, but we did hear good reports of some of the shows.

Overall a most enjoyable cruise experience with Celebrity once again, and we are now looking forward to returning onboard Eclipse for the Norwegian Fjords cruise at the end of August
